Show fflbttiiaruB Blanche H. Bown Blanche Bown dies of natural causes Blanche Hutchings Groneman Bown, 78, of Springville, died September 2, 1974 of natural causes. She was born February 10, 1896 in Springville to Chester and Elizabeth A. Smith Hutchings. She married Oran M. Groneman, September 22, 1915 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died December 22, 1952. She married Dr. Jessie Clinton Bown in the Logan Temple June 27, 1957. He died in June 1962. She received her early education in the Springville Schools. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served as Relief Society President and served also in the YWMIA and Primary organizations. She served as a visiting teacher for many years. She served as president of the Provo Women's Council in 1946 and was a board member of his council in 1948. Following her HELP WANTED Need Experienced Alteration! Ul BEALS, MGR. 489-5411 Resident's father dies August 30 Roe Schuyler, 59, of 486 N. 940 W., Orem, died of a heart attack at Utah Valley Hospital. Mr. Schuyler was born Dec. 15, 1914 in Burwell, Neb., a son of Roy and Anna Roe Schuyler. He married Louise McMurran on Nov. 20, 1937. He was a hardware salesman for Standard Builders. He was a veteran of World War II during which he served with the U.S. Army in China. Survivors include his widow, three sons and two daughters, Samuel Schuyler, Provo; Roger Schuyler, Granger; Alan Schuyler, Springville; Mrs. Ron (Ann) Butler, Glendora, Calif., and Mrs. Robert (Sue) Allen, Richfield; plus 11 grandchildren. grand-children. Private funeral services were held. marriage to Dr. Bown they traveled extensively throughout the Holy Land and Europe. She enjoyed gardening, painting, ceramics. She is survived by three sons ; LaMar 0. Groneman, Shirl Groneman both of Springville; Paul S. Groneman of Provo; 11 grandchildren; 7 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Hutchings of Salt Lake City; four sisters; Mrs. Stella H. Bult, Mrs. Eldredge (Jessie H.) Maxwell, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Wayne (Preal H.) Yo and Mrs. Reed (Rowena H.) Rigtrup, both of Springville. Funeral services will be held today, September 5, at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel in Provo. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Lowe, 70, of Springville, died Aug. 30 in Utah Valley Hospital of complications following surgery. He was born Sept. 30, 1903, at Springville, the son of William Nephi and Mary Louisa Powell Lowe. He married Jessie Snow May 4, 1929, at Farmington, Utah. Mr. Lowe had been self-employed self-employed as a roofer. He was a member of the LDS Church and .the Timpanogos Mineral and Gem Club. Survivors include his widow, five sons and two daughters, Russell Lowe, Mrs. Donald (Laurel) Dansie and Mrs, Carol Elder, all of Springville; Richard Lowe and Jim Lowe, both of Provo; Douglas Lowe, Spanish Fork, and Lynn Lowe, Lehi; 26 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, Glen Lowe, Springville; Ray Lowe and Mrs. Richard (Ada) Nichols, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Howard (Rose) Davis and Paul Lowe, both of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Wayne (Lela) Christensen, Layton. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Wheeler Mortuary chapel with Bishop Dean Bird of Springville 14th Ward officiating. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. The United States Armed Forces will be encouraged to wear a Bicentennial insignia during 1975 and 1976. A resolution encouraging this was approved by the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration Ad-ministration in honor the 200th anniversary of the United States Army, Navy, and Marine Corps in 1975.
