Elk have returned to the feeding grounds at Hardware Ranch, and there is, at last, enough snow on the ground for ; horse drawn sleighs to take sightseers on a tour among the herd, according to Ivan Turn-bow, Turn-bow, ranch superintendent. T Turnbow reports ap- proximately one foot of snow is found on the site where elk are 'supplementally fed each winter, which is enough to prevent sleigh runners from damaging the meadow. Supplemental feeding of the : elk herd began later than usual because mild weather made it unnecessary for elk to visit the franch until recently. Storms last week, however, brought the herd 'down; and between 250 and 400 ftelk are being fed daily, said Turnbow. ' Sleigh riding hours are from 1 - p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Guests of the ranch can tour the new Visitor's Center while waiting for their ride. There is no charge. Hardware Ranch is found 17 . miles east of Hyrum, Utah, at the head of Blacksmith's Fork Canyon. J. . ifv r- r-"J iff &: INSURANCE ALL YOUR INSURANCE NEEDS! Print exhibits shown at BYU Four print exhibits are running run-ning simultaneously during January in the B.F. Larsen Gallery of Brigham Young University's Harris Fine Arts Center. They are the Traveling Graphics Exhibition of the National Association of Women Artists with headquarters in New York City; a selection of contemporary art by the Southern Graphic Arts Circle; the Printmaking West Show, a traveling exhibition organized by Utah State University; and the June Wayne Exhibition of 36 prints which were donated to BYU in November 1973. All will remain on view during the entire month, with the exception ex-ception of the Printmaking West Show, which will end Jaa 19. The National Association of Women Artists, organized in 1889, has grown to 700 members in 40 states, with the objective of creating opportunities for women to exhibit their art works in important art centers. The exhibit includes etching, engraving, woodcuts, linocut, serigraphy, lithography and intaglio. Although the artists of the Southern Graphic Arts Circle create their works in the South, their art is neither regional nor provincial as evidenced by the universal statements in the exhibit. June Wayne was one of the originators of the Tamarind lithography as a fine art form. The shop was originally in Los Angeles but was moved several years ago to the campus of the University of New Mexico. There is was under the direction of Clinton Adams, who was one of the original organizers of the shop with June Wayne. The exhibit includes many outstanding out-standing prints produced at the Tamarind lithography workshop.
