Show Marriage In Garden Unites Popular Pair A lovely Sunday wedding was that which united Joan Heindselman, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. G. H. Heindselman and John Warren Schofield, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Schof ield of this city. The pretty affair was held in the gardens of the Paul Robley home on canyon road. As the' wedding inarch was played by Mrs. Rosella Compton, the bride entered the garden with her father. The wedding party met them there, coming from the house into the garden, which was banked with a profusion of bright summer flowers. Dr. Wesley P. Lloyd solemnized the Authoress Visits Utah SPRINGVILLE Mrs. Virginia Sorensen. well known authoress of Denver. Colo... was in Spring- vllle two days the past week to visit her parents. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen and other rela tives and friends here, in her honor, her sister, Mrs. Helen Thorpe entertained at the Eggertsen Eggert-sen home Thursday evening for members of We Readers club and a number of invited guests. Mrs. Sorensen gave in interesting manner, man-ner, some highlights in the process pro-cess of writing and told some incidences in connection with the publishing of her most recent book, "The Neighbors," which was out Aug. 20. During the evening refreshments were served by Mrs. Thorpe, assisted by Mrs. Eggertsen. To Make Home In Springville SPANISH FORK A honeymoon honey-moon trip and a home in Spring ville await newlvweds Mr. and Mrs. Bill B. Averett, who recited nuptial vows in the First ward chapel this week. The bride is the former Miss Marie Andrus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Andrus of Spanish Fork. Mr. Averett is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Averett of Springville. President J. Angus Chrlstensen officiated at the impressive can dlelieht ceremony. Only immedi ate family members were in at tendance. For her wedding, and reception which followed, the bride chose a quaint gown of embroidered marquisette, fashioned with a ruffled yoke and bustle, and a sweeping train. Her finger-tip veil of delicate bride's illusion cascaded from a bonnet effect of seed pearls and orange blossoms She carried a bouquet of white roses and split carnations en circling a white orchid. Matron of honor was the bride's ister, Mrs. Shirl O. Evans Jr. of Chicago. She wore ' a pink mar quisette model and held a bouquet of pale yellow and pink gladiolus Attending matron. Mrs. Lawrence Rowland of Springville, and bridesmaids. Miss Lyravin Jen sen. Pleasant Grove, and Miss Anna Marie Creer, Spanish Fork, were all dressed in - white with matching bouquets of gladioli cascade. Lawrence Rowland of Spring ville performed duties of best man for the groom. Misses Kath leen and Patricia Rowland, twin daughters of the best man and attending matron, were flower girls. They modeled long white dotted swiss dresses and carried miniature nosegays. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Andrus wore an aqua-blue dinner gown. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Frank Averett, selected a midnight blue, dinner dress. The formal receiving line stood in a setting of candelabra and pink gladioli. Master of ceremonies for the program was F. J. Faux. Paul B Andrus, brother of the bride, was an usher, and Mrs. Ray Whitney, Springville, and Mrs. Ruth Andrus, Provo, were reception ists. Gladys Nielsen was in charge of the guest book. Presiding over the dining room were Mrs. Ila T Lambert and Mrs. Beulah Larsen. Gifts were arranged by Mrs. Mark Stark, and Mrs. Frank King. When the newlyweds left on their honeymoon trip Thursday, new Mrs. Averett wore a brown suit with cocoa brown accessories. Upon their return they will live in Springville and attend BYU. She affiliates with O. S. Travota social unit. Mr. Averett, a Y graduate this spring, will enroll for post graduate work. He is a veteran of World War II. Gleaner Tea Is Success The Relief society hall at Second Sec-ond ward was the scene of a lovely love-ly tea given by. the Gleaner class of MIA, under the direction of class leader, Philinda Huff and class president, Katherine Scott, for mothers and daughters, in celebration of annual Gleaner week. The guests enjoyed hearing retold re-told stories and musical numbers. Seasonal flowers were used as decoration for the occasion, which attracted 30 mothers and daughters. daugh-ters. UNIVERSITY WARD RELIEF SOCIETY Visiting teachers meeting will be held at 2:30 Tuesday in University Uni-versity ward. The bride was lovely in a gown of lace with a flowing veil of bride's illusion caught with a crown of orange blossoms. She carried orchids. She was attend ed by her sister, Mrs. Mervin- Redden as matron of honor. Mrs. Redden wore a pretty pink frock with matching hat and carried a bright bouquet. The bridesmaids wore identical costumes of blue. They were Luanne Lennberg and Barbara Sherrie. Ted Schofield served his brother as beat man. Little Stephen Lennberg carried the ring on a silk pillow and tiny Linda Lou Yates was the flower-girl. flower-girl. Mervin Redden accompanied Mrs. Alvira H. Morton, celebrated vocalist from Chicago, who sang several numbers. The table was appointed with a large wedding cake, topped with white swans in a gondola, and flanked with tapers. Mrs. Malcolm Mal-colm Lennberg was in charge assisted as-sisted by Mrs. Douglas Lee and Peggy Hall. Out of town guests included: Mr. and Mrs. George Theriot of Las Vegas; Mrs. Lettie Kimball of Legrande, Ore.; Dr. and Mrs. Neil W. Brough. The young couple will leave Tuesday for San Francisco where Air. Schofield will attend dental college. . Mr. and Mrs. John L. Schofield entertained at Club Radar for the couple. The table was decorated with crysanthemums and gladiolus gladiol-us and a color scheme of pink and white carried out. Bidden were Mr. and Mrs. George Theriot of Las Vegas, Nev.; Dr. and Mrs. Heinselman, Mrs. Lettie Kimmell of LeGrande, Ore.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Robley and Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Redden and the guests of honor. Gifts For Mrs. Taylor Friday afternoon the Birthday club celebrated the birthday of Mrs. Stanford J. Taylor by taking pretty gifts to her home. The game diversion was "500" with prizes going to Mrs. Freda McClellen and Beth Lindstrom. Fall flowers decorated the room, where refreshments were served to guests: Helen Dearing, Leila Dunford, Beth Lindstrom and Iris Thompson and members: Freda McClellan, Elaine Stod-dart, Stod-dart, IaVina Smith, Beth Overly, Lola Tucker, Leona Henrie, Myrle Prothero and Ethel Taylor. Dancing Friends Map Out Season The board of directors for Dancing Friends club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Bennett in Orem. Plans were completed for the year's program and the committees commit-tees appointed for the opening dance to be held Wednesday evening eve-ning at the Smith building. Present were Mr. and Mrs. J.
