Bride-Elect Given Shower Complimentary to Bliss Vera Barratt, whose marriage to Marvin Mar-vin Salisbury of Richfield, is to be an event of Tuesday evening In Provo, Mrs. LaVon Hansen of American Fork, an intimate friend, gave shower Monday evening at her home. Included among the 16 guests were the following from Provo: Mrs. A. R. Morgan, aunt of the bride-to-be, Miss Mona Lee Tuttlt and Miss Beth Howe. Monte Carlo Whist was played, Miss Howe winning one of the prizes. A tasty lunch was served. Beautiful gifts were presented to the guest of honor. Junior Festival; Mothers Bidden Mrs. Sylvia Holdaway, Sharon stake Junior leader, announces that the junior rose festival is being held Sunday at 4 o'clock in the Lake View ward chapel. Visitors Here From Honolulu; Are Entertained Mrs. W. H. Brereton was happily happi-ly surprised Sunday with a visit from a cousin. Eldon Putman Morrell, from Honolulu, who has been transferred from Honolulu to Washington, D. C. Mr. Morrell is a brother of Mrs. Enoch Sorenson, who is making her home with Mrs. "Brereton for the present. The visitor, who is accompan ied by his wife, has been in Honolulu for the past 22 years. For several years, he has been supervisor of the vocational re habilitation in the Territory of Hawaii. He leaves this afternoon for his new headquarters in the nation's capital. Many family members from southern Utah, Ogden and Salt Lake City, have called at the Brereton home, 181 East First North street, to visit the Morrells.
