Hitler Orders -Fight to Death LONDON. April 17 U.fD Adolf Hitler, from his headquarters on the eastern front Monday issued a special order of the day declaring that the Red army has launched an offensive "which must and will be bled white before th reirh capital." The DNB news agency said the order was directed to the German troops of the east front and said that the Red army "for the last time" had launched a mass of fensive. Hitler declared that any Ger man soldier who did not fulfill his dijty was a traitor. "The regiment or division which relinquishes its post," said the order, "will be smashed by the women and children who are braving the bombing terror." Delayed Mail In France Turns Up LONDON, April 17 (U.R) Lib erated French mailmen have started catching up with their work. The London office of the United Press today received a stack of years-old mail stamped "detained in France during German occupation." occupa-tion." The French postal service re portedly put the mail into hiding to keep it from the invading Germans Ger-mans and the Nazis never found it. Most of today's mail came from 150 bags hidden when the Ger mans overran trance. In 1944, the number of persons to die from burns was increased by 5,000.
