The spacious ballroom was decorated to carry out th theme: "Holiday in Paradise' with fantastic motifs as Well as a beautiful fountain, flowers and birds of paradise. A glittering moon formed the throne in the center of the hall. In the receiving line were Far rell Madsen, superintendent of young men; Mrs. Katie P. Mitchell, Mit-chell, president of the young ladles; la-dles; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Newren, rof. and Mrs. Herald R. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Mower, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Austin, Mr. and Mr. Ralph Brltsch, Mr. and Mrs. T. Will Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Colton and Mrs. Arm a H. Taylor. The floor show featured the five queens of the various wards; The Misses Elaine Allred,' Aya Billings, La Von Whiting, Joyce Harris and Shirley Neagle. Two dances were presented under un-der the direction of Volt Roper and Luana Porter, stake dance directors. One, and all girls dance was furnished by 10 girls .and the ether featured four boys and eight CUTi in a "Rosea of the South" number. A girls' sextette from the Second ward sang. Farrell Madsen was master of ceremon les. Bobby Ream was crown-bearer ana the flower girls were Ruth Ellen Killpack, Verlene Christ iansen and Tanya Scott. Easter Breakfast At R. C Laneys An Easter breakfast was given Dy Mr. and Mrs. Roland C. Laney at their home Sunday morning, 30 guests calling and being served between the hours of 8 and 12 o'clock. Centerpiece -of red tulips decorated dec-orated the small serving tables. Adult Sewing Classes Resumed If was announced today by Ellen Walker of the Provo high school, .that the adult sewing classes sponsored by the Provo .school district, will begin their spring term or work on April 4 and B. The classes which are to be held on Wednesday beginning at 7:30 p. m. are entitled, "Learning to Sew," and "Advanced Clothing Problems," taught by Miss Walker and Marcella H. Skinner, respec tlveiy. The above mentioned classes are m continuation of those held dur in the fall and winter term. In dividuals interested in this type ef work should meet at the Provo high school, room 31, of the art building, concluded Miss Walker. Toastmtstress at the dinner was Marrial Clark, who was assisted by Donna Mae Thirkill, Anita Hyatt, Betty London, Iris Rich ardson, and Marian Hyde. Music was played by Helen Spencer at the piano, and songs were ren dered by Marilyn Jensen. Special guests were Dr. and Mrs. Harrison Val Hoyt, Mr. and Mrs. Evan M. Croft, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Austin, Mrs. La-Preal La-Preal Larsen. and 'Miss Luclle Soencer. soonsor. Lt. and Mrs .Leslie Beardall spent a few days of the past week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Beardall in Spririgville and with her parents in Provo.
