Upon discharge each man is given "Form 100" which will prove one of the most valuable assets in getting a job. It describes de-scribes the training the man re ceived in service and what civil ian jobs he is able to handle. He should keep this form with him at all times. War Manpower commission, has published two booklets one for army and one for navy which give long lists of civilian jobs that can be handled by men who had special jobs in the army or navy. Steele of the air corps, who has been a misoner of the German government since April 13, -4944, has been awarded the distinguished flying cross and air medal, according to his aunt, -Mrs. J. H. Steele of Idaho Falls, Ida-received Ida-received the official notification from the government Since the awards cannot be formally presented to LL Steele at this time, the decorations will be presented to his wife. The dlamnguished flying cross citation reads, in part: "For ex traordinary achievement in aerial flight On April 13 (which is the date on which he was taken prisoner) LL Steele was the pilot of a B-24 type aircraft on particularly hazardous mission to bomb an enemy aircraft factory in Hungary. Despite intense and accurate anti-aircraft fire, LL Steele brought his plane over the target for a highly successful bombing run, inflicting grave danger to the factory area. Turning Turn-ing from the target, an accurate burst of flak exploded just below his right wing, setting an engine on fire and forcing the plane to fall out of the formation. Although Al-though losing altitude rapidly, Lt Steele gained control of the ship and made every possible attempt to extinguish the fire. When last seen, he appeared to be attempting at-tempting a controlled landing in friendly territory. Lt Steele has been in the service about six years and was at Pearl Harbor at the time of the Japanese attack. He has three brothers in the service, and another an-other soon to join the ranks.
