Show Many Attend Open House Surrounded by family members and friends, Mrs. Ellen Wilde celebrated her seventy-sixth birthday birth-day anniversary at her home Monday. Fifty guests called at the open op-en house given in the afternoon. Refreshments were served from a table pretty with daffodils as a centerpiece. Many cards and messages mes-sages were received, as well as gifts and flowers from family and friends. In the evening, a family dinner was held at the home, covers being be-ing laid for 25 guests, including: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilde, Chi? Wilde, yeoman third class, who is home from Farragut, Idaho, Mrs. Chic Wilde and their little daughter, daugh-ter, Camille. Babbel were united in marriage by Dr. Franklin S. Harris, president of Brigham Young university. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Gleason of Ta-hawus, Ta-hawus, New York, formerly of Hiawatha, Utah, and Mr. Babbel, a son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Babbel of Twin Falls, Idaho, the later couple being here for the nuptials. Duane Merrill of Salt Lake City, was a special guest. J. J. Vriz.. who is visiting here, Mrs. Royal Nielsen gave a luncheon at her home Monday. Guests included: Mrs. Fimetta Adair, Miss Adaline Adair, Mrs. Idonna Peterson. Sweet Potato Stuffing for Roast Chicken (Will stuff 4 1 .-pound chicken) Chicken giblets, 1 onion, 1 cup water, 1 teaspoon salt, few grains pepper. 3 medium sweet potatoes, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, 1 cup fresh bread crumbs. Simmer giblets in water with onion, salt and pepper, until gizzard giz-zard Is tender, adding liver during dur-ing last five minutes of cooking. Drain and chop fine. Save liquid (there should be about H cup). Boil potatoes, peel and mash. Combine with giblets, parsley and bread crumbs and add cooking liquid. pearls, long sleeves and swooping train. The Misses Colleen and Jennie Keeler sang "O Promise Me," accompanied ac-companied by their mother, Mrs. Virginia keeler. A pink and white scheme was used throughout, the mantelpiece, holding a basket of snapdragons, iris and lilies. Tall candelabra, holding lighted cathedral tapers, were on either side, also, floor urns filled with snapdragons and lilies. immediately following, a re ception was given by Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Mensel at their home. One- hundred and fifty guests called. The same decorative arrangement arrange-ment was employed, and the serving serv-ing table was covered with a beautiful beau-tiful hand-crocheted cloth over deep yellow. A basket of white and pink snap dragons, iris and lilies formed the centerpiece and the huge three-tiered wedding cake, ornamented with tiny bridal pair, was cut by the bride. Miss Lillian Young and Mrs. Ethel Rambeau presided in the dining room, and Miss Oleah Bab bel of Twin Falls, sister of the Groom, poured. Soft music was played by a trio composed of Mr. and Mrs. John Hllgendorff and Evelyn Hilgen- dorff, and Mrs. Hilma Henrie Honeyman sang, accompanied by Ruth Partridge Marr, who favored favor-ed with piano selections. The young couple slipped away during the late hours for a two weeks' honeymoon. The bride changed to a chic blue suit, with red and blue accessories, and she worde a white orchid. The bride was graduated from Westminister Junior college and B. Y. U and was active inr music University of Wisconsin. He is president of both the Blue Keys and Delta Phi, a former president of the Idaho club and a member of Lambda Delta Sigma. He served a mission in Germany, Denmark, and the southern states.
