Show Aged Matron To Be Feted SPANISH FORK Mrs. Lucre-tla Lucre-tla Davis Becksteed, early pioneer pio-neer of Spanish Fork, will be honored Saturday and Sunday with an "open house," in celebration cele-bration of the eighty-fifth anniversary anni-versary of her birth. yj ma. nuui iJconsicau (unci, wno lives wun xars. cecKsieaa, will be hostess and will welcome all friends who call. Mrs. Beckstead was born at Spanish Fork, Jan. 29, 1859, a daughter of Charles (Captain) and Ruth Kennon Davis. She was educated in the early day schools of the community but lived most of the time on a farm where she learned to do all kinds of farm work. She married Moses Beckstead of another pioneer pio-neer family, July 29, 1877 at Salem; Sa-lem; one year later they received their endowments at the old Salt Lake Endowment house. To this union were born nine children, four of whom are living and will be here to visit their mother. They are Moses and Delbert Beckstead Beck-stead and Mrs. Potter of Spanish Fork and Orson Beckstead of Payson. She has also 27 grandchildren; grand-children; 42 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchil dren. Three grandsons and a jrandson-in-law are serving the armed forces.
