Golf Club Plans Gay "Watch" Party Golf association members and their partners will make merry New Year's eve at the Golf clubhouse, club-house, the 'annual "Whoopee" party to be in the form of a semi-formal semi-formal dance. He has always resided m Fayson except for brief intervals for employ ment. Mrs. Katie Gordon Fillmore was born Sept, 11, 1876 in York coun ty, South Carolina, a daughter of John and Mary m. Hartness cor? don. - The couple were married In Payson, Dec. 30, 1893 at the home of the bride, the same home where they now live and where the wed ding celebration will be held. They have nine children, 31 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The children are Ross Fillmore of Spanish Fork; Lei and Fillmore of Alaska, who will come here in January to join his family: Mrs. Ellen Argyle and Mrs. Catherine Cole of Payson; Mrs. Ivem Wallace of Price, Mrs Idella Firth of Salt Lake City Mrs. Edith Miller of Nephl and Mrs. Lois Davidson of Bruno. The main dintne room was ray ly decorated in holiday motif for the occasion and a beautiful bouquet of American Beauty roses formed the centerpiece at the dining table. Roy E. Park acted as master of ceremonies and a clever impromptu program was carried out. Dancing followed and 600 was played, the high score awards going to Mr. and Mrs. noy s. park. Mra pvit p. Downs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence H Downs of Rout 2, Box 232, Provo. is preparing to become a radio operator to free a man to fight. During the intensive 19-week radio operator's course, Private Downs will learn every phase of radio work witn outer Marine corps women reserves. She will study International Morse code, as well as general operation and maintenance of standard radio equipment. Private Downs has two brothers in the armed forces. One is a captain in the army air force. overseas, and another is an avi ation machinist's mate third class of the naval air force.
