Roland Ro-land Lindsay announce the approaching ap-proaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Jean Lindsay to Private Harry J. Hancock, son of Armand Hancock of Payson. The young bride-elect left Thursday night for Yakima, Washington, where Private Hancock Han-cock is stationed. The : marriage will take place Saturday evening in the L. D. S. chapel at Yakima, the ceremony to be performed by the presiding bishop. Private Hancock is in the army air corps, parachute division, and will be graduated in September with the rank of technical sergeant. ser-geant. His bride will remain in Washington until- his company goes overseas. Miss Lindsay graduated from Payson high school in 1940 and attended school at the L. D. S. Business college. Evelyn Davis and Edna Wride entertained at a delightful personal per-sonal shower at the Lindsay home in honor of the bride-to-be. Dinner was served at small tables, each decorated with lovely summer flowers. Bride's games were piayed end a bride's book made by the 20 guest present. Boat Party For Rotarians, Guests Rotarians and their wives and guests are anticipating a trip to Bird island on the Smith-Strong boat on Utah lake, Wednesday evening. Weight gave a steak dinner at Aspen Grove, the afternoon of July Fourth, for Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Meyn end family, who recently moved to Provo from New Orleans. Mrs. James Blair (Carol Pendle ton) and son, Kelly, leave tonignt for their home in Bartlesville, Okla., after a month's vacation here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Young are spending two weeks in Duchesne Du-chesne with Mr. Young's brother, Clifford Young. Fourth of July visitors in Provo included Mr. and Mrs. Claude Lees of Salt Lake City, who were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hodson. The Hodsons also had a short visit Friday from their son, Lt. Robert G. Hodson, who is stationed tit Wendover. Mrs. T. G, McCafferty of Salt Lake City, visited in Provo July Fourth. Completing a delightful two and a half weeks' trip, Mr. and Mrs. M. Howard Graham arrived home this morning. They visited in Chicago, and in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Graham attended the national nation-al U. C. T. convention. Two days were spent at Nashville, Tenn., and they were guests of Mrs. Graham's people in Birmingham, Alabama. Also, relatives and friends were visited in Thomas-ton, Thomas-ton, Ala., and the return trip was made with stops at St. Louis, Kansas City and Omaha. Blair and Blaine of HelDer, came here to spend the week-end with relatives. While visiting at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bradford, Blair, four year old, fell from a horse on which he was ridinp and suffered a i compound fracture of his left arm. Just a year ago, Blair fell while at his home and sustained a fractured frac-tured right leg, which kept him laid up for several months.
