Smart Women By ALICIA HART NEA Service Staff Writer If, within the past few months, you have been told more than five times jthat you look tired When you really weren't tired at all, better spend a little time wondering what has happened to 'our fac'al expression. J A f, .u;. All too many people let their faces let down when there is really re-ally no good excuse for it. It's all very well to look tired when you are tired. But there's no sense in going around with a woe-be-gone expression on your face when you aren't feeling woe-be-gone or downtrodden or anything any-thing else unpleasant. Of course, the minute you realize re-alize that you 'iyive acquired the habit of "facial let-down" the minute you are conscious of the fault you have gone a long way toward correcting it. The next step is to resolve to try to keep from looking weary when you are not weary at all. Meanwhile, try to get a little more sleep each night. It may be that you are tired even when you don't realize it. Trying to keep going on your nerves instead of on a sounder basis of adequate rest and a proper diet will show in your face, no matter how hard you try to conceal it. Eyestrain Causes That 5 Wilted Look I. Also, stop reading In poor light-, stop forgetting to wear sun glasses and otherwise abusing your eyes. If you are suffering from even mild eyestrain, it's next to impossible to avoid a wilted look at the end of the day. And don't forget that the woman wom-an who knows she is clean and neat and attractively dressed usually has a happier expression on her face than one who is self-conscious self-conscious and in an apologetic frame of mind because her dress is the wrong length, her cotton gloves slightly soiled, her hair limp and un waved.
