BELLAMY LINDSAY ff w Stage Shows L7j-s .777-13 Beta Sorosis Breakfast Is Gay Function A gay and colorful affair of Tuesday morning, was the annual April breakfast of the Beta Sorosis Sor-osis club, held at the home of Mrs. Veran M. Booth. A "spring flowers' 'idea was cleverly worked out in all arrangements, ar-rangements, the small tables being be-ing attractively" decorated with the favors, tiny potted plants with purple cellophane covers, tied with gold ribbon. The hand-made menu-tally -booklets further carried car-ried out the club colors, and featured fea-tured a spring floral design. Daffodils, Daf-fodils, narcissus and forsythia were arranged about the rooms. Bridge and table games followed follow-ed the tasty breakfast, and following follow-ing through with the theme, beautiful beau-tiful flower bowls were given as prizes to Mrs. Marvin Gease, first, and Mrs. Andrew Broaddus, second. The committee comprised Mxs. Meredith Wilson, Mrs. L. B. Tack-ett Tack-ett and Mrs. Veran M. Booth, new members of the club. In attendance were Mrs. F. Harding of this city, Tuesday evening at the home of the bride's sister and brother-;n-:aw, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence York of Orenv. President A. V. Watkins of Sharon stake, officiated, the bride entering on the arm of an uncle, Roy E. Park; who took the place of her father, who Is employed In Tucson, Ariz., and was unable to attend the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis L. Jolley of Provo, another sister and brother-in-law of the bride, attended at-tended the couple. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white flowered taffeta, and a veil of white silk net edged with lace. She carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds, tied with silver ribbon. Mrs. Jolley was In pink chiffon and her corsage was of whita sweet peas. The rooms was pretty with potted pot-ted plants and daffodils. Close relatives and friends who witnessed wit-nessed the ceremony, included those named and Mrs. Annie Fly-pare, Fly-pare, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Park, Max Harding, Bernice Gardner, Bob Harding, Norma Curtis and Jack Park. The entire party attended a wedding wed-ding supper given by the bride's mother at tha Park cafe in Orem. The long: table was beautiful with white jsweet peas and pink snapdragons, snap-dragons, and ptfnk tapers were on either end. Roy E. Park was master mas-ter of ceremonies, he read a telegram tele-gram from the bride's father. La Jean Park furnished a tap dance, and Mrs. Albert Harding sangr. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing. The newlyweds will live in Provo. Pro-vo. . if Reynolds Chapter Observes Birthday A birthday party honoring the memory of Alice Louise Reynolds, was neld by women of A. L. R. club. Chapter No. 3. at the home of Mrs. F. G. Warnick Tuesday evening. Mrs. John Jackson, president, was in charge. A nominating com mittee was appointed to select ' officers to be' voted on at the May 1 meeting. Mrs. J. W. Thornton' was named chairman; Mrs. Annie Eggertsen and Mrs. Clara Giles Marjorie Harding and Kay Clark, appeared in costume and favored with a song. Two solos, "Spring Divine," and "Grandmother's "Grand-mother's Lullaby," were sung by Miss Nola Woodland, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Emma Hayes. The words and music were written by Mrs. Florence Billings. A tribute to Miss Reynolds, written by Mrs. Addie Hinfckley, was read by her daughter, Mrs. Leonore H. Walton. Three readings read-ings were given . by Veon Riggs. A tasty luncheon was served to 28 members and guests. Beautiful spring flowers were used in decorating. dec-orating. Christen Jensens Hosts at Dinner A well appointed dinner was given by Dr. and Mrs. Christen Jensen at their home Monday evening, the guests being served at small tables. The rooms were attractive with pansies, amarillys and hyacinths. After dinner, rook was played, prizes being awarded to Dr. J. VV. Nixon, Mrs. Joseph C. Clark, A. L. Booth, Mrs. R. King entertained Thursday in honor of her three-year three-year old son, whose birthday anniversary an-niversary occurred on that day. Taylor gave a general gen-eral discussion on credit. Miss Ward announced plans to attend the annual conference of th ninth regional district of the National Na-tional Retail Credit association, etc., to be held in Salt Lake City, April 20, 21 and 22, with the Hotel Utah as headquarters.
