Wendell, who has been on a montha furlough from the U. S. navy, left Saturday night for San Diego, Calif., to sail for American Ameri-can Samoa. His brother, Fred, leaves March 5, for the Hawaiian L. JJ. S. mission field. The latter was presented with a fine array of going away gifts. Forty relatives and friends were entertained with games and music, mu-sic, and a delicious luncheon was served. - Unusual Program At "Fireside Chat" Following church Sunday night, "M" Men and Gleaners of the Bonneville ward held a "fireside chat" at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Prusse. Mis3 Irma Acord and Claude Snow entertained with a book review. re-view. In verse, after which a tasty luncheon was served by the hostesses, hos-tesses, the Misses Dorothy Prusse, Norma Richardson, Bernice Gard ner, Elaine Snarr and Helen Hick man. Prince at their home Sunday, honoring Mr, Prince's mother, Mrs. Pearl Prince, whose birthday anniversary occurs today. Covers were laid for 24 guests, the dining table being centered with roses. Miss Elliott Returns Home After an enjoyable eight weeks vacation in Arizona and California, Cali-fornia, Miss Vilate Elliott arrived home Friday night. Miss Elliott spent Christmas and New Years with Mr. and Mrs. William E. Ellsworth at Safford, Ariz., attending the game at El Paso, on New Year's day. Also, she visited in Mesa, with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Killian, and spent several weeks in Tempe, with Miss Lola Ellsworth, professor profes-sor in the Arizona State Teachers' college. In California, the Provoan was a guest of her' sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Erickson of Hollywood and Mr. and Mrs. V. L. McFadden of Beverly Hills.
