Grass Fires Keep ; Firemen Busy SPRINGVILLE Grass fires have kept members of the Springville volunteer fire department depart-ment busy the past few days with two having occured within twelve hours. The first fire believed be-lieved to have been caused by sparks from a train occurred on Denver and Rio Grande railroad property and spread rapidly to endanger wheat fields valued at $2000. The second fire was on Salt Lake and ' Utah railroad company com-pany property, resulting from boys and matches. It began in a dry grass patch spreading over a large tract and endangering about J500 in property. Thomas and daughter, Margaret Mar-garet of Way Cross. Georgia and Dr. and Mrs. 11. S. Burns and children, Jimmie and Mary Joe of Pasadena. Calif. The visitors are now visiting other members of the Thomas family in Salt Lake City and will return to Spanish Fork before going home. Mr. and Mr3. Marvin Warren of Clyde, California, left for their home Sunday after vUiting len days here with relative. Tby were accompanied by Mr. and hli. D. Foster liowen who will visit at Clyde with Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Patterson (Bessie Warren) and other relatives. They will also attend at-tend the San Francisco world's fair and other points of interest-Mr. interest-Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dart and children and Arthur Stewart joined join-ed Sunday with Mrs. Ellis Fuller, Mrs. Eflie S. Dart, Effie Mae, Shirley and TedJy Dart for an ail day picnic at the Palmyra forest camp. Dinner and supper were enjoyed by the crowd. Miss Joyce Maland entertained the girls of the Penquin club at a bonfire party in Spanish Fcrk canyon Monday evening the occasion oc-casion being her 13th birthday anniverary. Salem Sunday. Mrs. Hannah Stewart accompanied ac-companied them home to epend ten days with them.
