And that is just what number 50 is doing. Sunday, troop members will meet at the Manavu meeting house 6 p. m., loaded down with good things to eat. But the scouts won't be eating, for they are planning to make up four Chrism as baskets to give to as many needy families of the ward. It will be a bright Christmas for four families, families who probably would not have fared so well. And it will be a joyous good turn for some 30 .scouts of Troop 50. Scoutmaster" George W. Brown and his boys deserve t-hand from Provo's scout population. Merit Badge Examiner, Listed For Boy Scout Provo and Utah districts recently recent-ly revised the merit badge examiners exam-iners list in the city. For the benefit of the local scouts, the DailyHerald Scout Press club will publish earch week a partial list of the new examiners. It Is suggested that the lists be clipped for future reference. Provo District Troops Turn Out For Honor Court BY BRUCE TUURSTON Court of honor for Provo district dis-trict was held Tuesday in the scout hall of Troop 42, Fifth ward, under the direction of Chairman LeRoy Harding:. More than 75 scouts attended. ' Troop 42, of the Fifth ward gave ' the opening ceremony after which community singing was held Scout Commissioner LeRoy Condie was In charge. ' Santa Claus paid his annual visit to the children of the community at the huge Christmas tree Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The firemen fire-men , for a number of years past have sponsored this part of the holiday celebration. Twelve hundred hun-dred bags of candy and small gift prizes were distributed. The firemen and their wives met at the tire station Wednesday night and prepared the bags.
