The younff couple 'will leave immediately for Cryce canyon, where Mr. Jensen is employed for the summer months. They will return to Provo in the fallr Mr. Jensen ' to resume his studies at the. p. Y.. U. The bride is a graduate of the Frovd high school, and has been employed in the ofice of Dr. Frank T. Reynolds. Mr. Jensen is a graduate grad-uate of the Brlgham City high school, and has attended the B. Y. U: Students' Work Modeling the work of the, last two quarters done by the doming dom-ing classes of the home economics department of Brigham Young university, students will give an invitational rasmon review inurs-day inurs-day at 4 p. m. on the lawn south of the Education building. More than 200 dresses, coats and suits made by the students will be modeled. Beginning with a group of children's clothes, the review will proceed to the clothes of the college girl. Many of the clothes have been designed as well as constructed by the girls, states Mrs. Jean Coleman Jackson, Jack-son, who is in charge of the review. re-view. Musical will toe played while the girls model. In connection with the review, an exhibit of applied art under the direction of Miss Verla Birrell will be given. This will include work i,jv1eather, , wood, cork, basket weaving, bead work, and fabric design. X; r 7 7 i i .v PETER MADSEN - Lake View Couple To Be Honored Fifty-nine years of married life together will be celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Peter Madsen of Lake View, ' when their family honors them at an "open house," Sunday, from 2 to 6 o'clock, at their home. All relatives and friends of the aged couple are cordially invited to call. The anniversary of their wedding wed-ding day is Friday, June 2, which is also Mr. Madsen's birthday anniversary. an-niversary. They were married in 1880, in the old Endowment house in Salt Lake City, and' soon after, they moved to the home in which they now live. . r Five of the couple's seven children chil-dren are living, as follows: J. W. Madsen, Great Falls, Mont.; Pearl M. Sumsion, Springville; Clara M. Taylor, Lake View; Evelyn M. Taylor, Payson, and Spencer Madsen, Mad-sen, Lake View. Peter Madsen was born in 1858, at Lake View, a son of Peter and Mary Madsen, who were among the first settlers of Lake View.. Theywereengaged in tfie' fishing business, and hundreds of early pioneers were guests at the home of the late Bishop Peter Madsen. Many will remember! Peter Madsen Mad-sen for his violin music at all the early-day dances at the Lake View ward hall, and elsewhere in Provo and surrounding communities. Mr. Madsen has known all the trials and struggles of pioneering a new country, but has also known much joy and satisfaction in life. He is a faithful member of the .church, and in spite of his advanced ad-vanced age, 82 years, he still, attends at-tends his meetings. , Berttra Knudsen Madsen, daughter daugh-ter of Hans and Bergeta Knudsen, was born in Hedemarken, Norway, Feb. 26, 1860. She, with her parents, par-ents, camejto Utah in 1864, completing com-pleting a six months' trip with their arrival-in Provo, The Knudsen Knud-sen family located at Fort Field on West drive in Provo, and they too, knew the hardships of pioneer life. Mrs. Madsen has always been an active church worker and has been associated with the Relief society since early girlhood and is still a faithful member.
