A special legislative committee commit-tee was created to study proposed laws and to oppose or support measures which affect federation interests. Mrs. Pauline S. Shipman, Provo tion chairman at the convention, and: Miss Grace Checver, as recording re-cording secretary. The Provo club's double trio sang at the Sunday afternoon luncheon, the personnel of which includes: Mrs. Allie W. Clark, Mrs. Lillian A. Hardy. Miss Amelia Buckley, Miss Zina Lar-sen. Lar-sen. U.. at the Girls' home in North Fork, Provo canyon. Forty-five couples attended the party, given in honor of the graduating grad-uating members. "Happy Landings," Land-ings," was the theme, and the dance programs featured more than a dozen ways of saying 'goodbye." in foreign languages. Members of the "U" chapter of Salt Lake City, and the "A" chapter chap-ter of Logan, were in attendance with their partners. Refreshments were served, and during the evening, the fraternity tiicv, coraposd of Ladd Cropper, June Thayn and Lon Kennard sang the "Sweetheart Song," and the "Farewell Song," to the graduates" grad-uates" Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Smith were patrons. Luncheon Held By Wives of Letter Carriers A delightful event of the annual an-nual convention of the Utah State Letter Carriers and Utah Federation Feder-ation of Rural Carriers, and auxiliaries, auxil-iaries, held in Provo Sunday, was the 1:30 o'clock luncheon held by the auxiliary at Hotel Roberts. Seventy-five women enjoyed the luncheon and program, the theme of which was "With the Ropes of Today, We Ring the Bells of To morrow." Mrs. Franklin Daven port, president, Mrs. Willis Carter. Mrs. Cleveland Brown and Mrs Dee Brown had the luncheon in charge, and Mrs. Howard Olsen arranged the program. Silver bells marked the places at the table, and the favors were tiny gumdrop mailmen. Mrs. N. William Knudsen of Provo, was the toastmistress, and the toasts featured "A History of the Mail Service," as follows "By Word of Mouth," Mrs. L. P. Peacock of Price: "Pony Express Days," Mrs. V. Allen of Ogden; "The Railway Speeds Things Up," Mrs. H. B. Crompton of Ogden; "The Airplane and the Mail," Mrs. H. Lee Hales of Logan. Mrs. Knudsen . summed up the toasts and concluded with "Woman's Part and the Future." Appropriate musical selections were furnished, vocal solos being rendered by Mrs. Ethel Lewis of Provo, accompanied toy Mrs. Reva Bullock, and instrumental numbers num-bers being played by Frank Goold and company, who-. played western selections. The affair, the .annual spring semi-formal invitational, was attended by approximately 150 couples, and proved a lively and delightful week end function. Two boys, attired as policemen were stationed at the entrance, and the walls were covered with various types of traffic signs and danger warnings. Roses, delphinium and larkspur were combined in decorating the small serving tables. During the luncheon, Mrs. Lee Buttle gave a toast "To the Graduates." Mrs. Donald Dixon won the high score prize. Lambda Delta Sigma I Election Is Held Officers of the Zeta Omega, girls unit of Lambda Delta Sigma, religious fraternity on the B. Y. U. campus, were elected for next year at a meeting held Sunday.
