FflRPvlERS AMD MERCMAPJUS BAN IX Pkcvo 'Utah Figure It Out For Yourself . . You Must Pay The Bill . . and You Will Do The Suffering Reasons Why You Should Support Wallace for President Over Truman: Reasons Why Wallace Is a Better Bet for President Than Is Dewey: 1. Wallace is a far better democrat than Truman. Truman relied on Wall Street leaders such as Forrestal, Royall and Harriman for policy. There are no real democrats in Wall Street. Wallace's cabinet will consist of progressive-democrats, only. '. 2. Truman threw overboard the New Deal and all Roosevelt's New Deal men. Wallace is prepared to furnish you a progressive New Deal. 3. Truman reversed Roosevelt's foreign policy almost before Roosevelt was cold. Truman's foreign policy is costing us scores of billions of dollars and likely the lives of thousands of our youths. Wallace's foreign policy is, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." 4. The Democratic platform calls for equal rights. Truman "with the stroke of his pen could end color segration in the army, but will not. Wallace actually believes the oath of allegiance to our flag which promises, "Liberty and justice for All." 5. Truman advocates one policy in the morning, a different one in the afternoon, and still another next day about important thing like Berlin, Palestine and conferences with Russia. Wallace has been consistent throughout. Russia need not have let us in Berlin at all, but relied on our "good" faith and cooperation. Wallace will live up to all our moral responsibilities. 6. Never has a standing army assured peace or victory. Truman committed a most undemocratic act when he recommended peace-time conscription without giving the boys a voice in tha matter, making mere robots out of them. Then he flaunts democracy in the face by sending them abroad to uphold unpopular kings and governments. Wallace is opposed to peace-time draft. He knows these men should be in school, and that the best defense of our country is education for useful lives of peace, not war. 7. Truman and his Marshall Plan are keeping your prices high by diverting essential materials like steel to war preparations instead of allowing it to go into washing machines, refrigerators, automobiles, etc. creating a scarcity of goods you need. Because of this you have to pay two or three times their normal cost because of the scarcity. Wallace wll arrest the Marshall Plant at once, immediately reducing prices and taxes for you, and promoting peace for the world. 8. America has a lot of enemies. Truman, like Hitler would have you believe that our only enemies are the communists and a few top Republicans. Wallace knows that our worst enemies are not the communists, but our own war mongers those who stand to profit by making another war at your expense. Now, be honest. Can you name just one communist who did anything injurious to America? On the other hand, which of your sons would you be will ing to sacrifice for Truman, so England can keep a German-born king on the throne of Greece against the will of the Greek people? Which of your boyi ara you ready to see crippled for life to prevent Russia from having equitable use of the Dardanella? Or do you prefer your boy to lose a leg helping American oil interest hang on to their Arabian oil contracts, or an arm to throw Russia out of Berlin, or an eye defending a corrupt tyrannical government in China? It is difficult to see how even a communist could do worse than that to you. Truman would do this and worse and end up in an atomic war. Wallace atands for peace now and in the future and to b friend with all our neighbors. 9. Truman's record is consistently opposed to labors' welfare. Wallace's record has always been pro-. pro-. labor. 10. There are many reasons why Wallace is a better Democrat than Truman, but apace will not permit treating now, such as crop subsidies, housing, soil conservation and river control that Truman is unqualified un-qualified and incompetent to handle, while Wallace has had experience in all these fields and has proven himself a competent executive, a real Democrat, one of the common people and a real live progressive leader. . 1. While Dewey was playing cops and robbers, Wallace .vas benefiting all mankind by making possible hybrid-corn which increases the national corn yield hundreds of millions of bushels of corn annually helping the whole world. 2. Dewey supported the Taft-Hartley law. It discriminates against labor in that it does not require an employer to swear that he is a loyal American as it does of a worker. It makes it unlawful for labor to use their own union magazines to keep members informed on the records of their own repreaentativea in Congress. But employers may do that very thing in their publications. Wallace is utterly opposed to the injustices of the Taft-Hartley law. 8. Rugged individualism and free enterprise mean competition, and competition in any field means conflict or war. This has always been a Republican tenet. Instead Wallace stands for cooperation and socialization of national essentials such as electric power, transportation, mines, large banks, etc. Put unity in place of competition and you have peace and prosperity. 4. Imperialism with its usurous injustices resulting in economic slavery . finally produces such world upheavals as one may now witness in distant lands like India, Burma, or France. These and other subject peoples clamor for emancipation. Communism is o nly one facet of this world revolution. Any unjust national economy which does not do justice to the average citizen germinates communism, or something worse. Dewey stands for imperialism. Wallace's program will forestal communism in America by achieving achiev-ing real democracy. 6. Dewey at no time has committed himself on the important current issues, national or international; while Mr. Wallace deals in no double talk, but is forthright regarding his stand on all important issues effecting human welfare. 6. In international affairs Mr. Dewey's name is always associated with that of Mr. Dulles. The leader of the law firm on Wall Street which served the great German firm supplying the German war machine was Mr. Dulles. Who will be the real president if Dewey is elected, Dewey or Dulles? Mr. Wallace's continual defiance of Wall Street shows who will be president if he is elected. 7. The basic philosophy of the Republicans for m any generations has been that if the rich prosper, the masses will eventually get a few crumbs. Today Mr. Dewey is the leader of that party, while Mr. Wallace stands for equal opportunity for all and special privileges to none. 8. The Republican Party from .the beginning has c hampioned the debt-economy of the super-bankere, the debt bonding system, wherein the richest coun try on earth operates and functions on borrowed money, year after year, paying interest to the bankers. This Usurous method of financing the government has piled up a national debt burden equal to more than all properties in America will inventory. Wallace's, program calls for the nationalization of the great banks to end this racket wherein you have to pay through the nose. 9. The persistence of reactionary methods in the Republican party, of which Mr. Dewey is head, was made clear by the last Congress. It granted practically all the demands of . the interests who finance its campaigns, by repealing New Deal measures and passing bills to suit the Wall Street gang. Mr. Wallace's record is in opposition to those who seek to dominate by money power. . f 10. Every progressive idea for the general welfare of the average American such as public health, veterans' housing, old-age pensions, unemployment insurance, price and rent controls, and many others, have been answered by the Republicans with a "red" scare. They never do anything about achieving these needed social reforms, but instead warn that such legislation if a communistic plot promoted by the "reds." Even the organizing of a strong labor union is termed "red" methods by them. Red baiting is the last refuge of a party with a weak case. Mr. Dewey inherits the die-cast policies- of the old Repulbicans. Henry A. Wallace has alwavs taken a definite stand for all progressive measure! beneficial to the general public WALLACE IS THE BEST FRIEND AMERICA NOT RUSSIA HAS TODAY I We Welcome questions, Discussions And Debate.
