Show Ephraim Flower Show Features 200 Entries; Ribbons Awarded Winners By FERN A. YOUNG J EPHRAIM. Several hundred people enjoyed try 200 entries at the Ephraim flower show Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Twenty-nine blue ribbons, 35 red ribbons, and 21 white ribbons rib-bons were awarded. In addition to the numerous entries by individuals, there was a large display of mountain flow-erf flow-erf and grasses, selected by A. Perry. Plummer of the Great Basin- experiment station and arranged by Ray Madsen, local flower ' devotee. Mr. Madsen Judged the entries of all groups. Red ribbons Mrs. Ellen Nielson, Mrs. Hy ' Paulsen (2), Mrs. Bly Beal, Mrs. Maggie Jen- Noted Utah Man Dies in Detroit DETROIT, July 3 (U.R) Forty-nine-year-old Albert J. Browning, Brown-ing, vice president of the Ford Motor Co. and native of Ogden, Utah, died of a heart ailment last night. Browning, first stricken aboard his yacht in Florida waters last ianuary, died in the Henry Ford ospltal. He had been with the automobile firm since May 1, 1946, in charge of purchasing. He was head of the armys war time procurement program. Browning was born Sept. 27, 1899 at Ogden. He attended schools at Blackfoot, Ida. His mother, Mrs. Walter . L. Webb, lives at Lehl, Utah. Sa em Borrowman. Geneve McQuivey was hostess to the Cozy 'Circle club at her home. The serving tables were beautifully adorned with June roses, and a tasty luncheon was served to 10 club members. Prizes wera won by Dora Otten, Lucile Hanks and Lois Roper. (U.R) Ogden police charged Tony Salerno, 43, with robbery in the investigation of the armed holdup hold-up June 25 of $31,000 from ahe Ogden club tavern, Friday.
