Johnon at the home of the bride's parent!,. Mr, and Mrs. Austin R. Carter. The groom , is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Johnson of Provo. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Olius Johnson, uncle of the groom, and was witnessed by immediate members of both families. The lovely bride wore traditional white satin with lacei trimming and a fingertip veil. Roses, peonies, lillles and other flowers of the season decorated the home. A wedding dinner was I served by the bride's mother, a i three-aiered wedding cake centering cen-tering the dining table. A reception was held in honor . of the couple Friday evening at j the Tlmpanogos ward hall. In the receiving line were the; newly weds and their parents and ' Bill Halladay, .best man; June, Lloyd, maid of honor; Merle : Hansen, matron of honor; Rae Danner, Venlle Jynes, Helen Johnson, Norma Carter, and Ruth Carter. Carola Carter and Sandra Hansen were flower girls and Glenna Johnson and Mary Ann Johnson were the train bearers. Ronald G. Hansen acted as master of ceremonies for the program. Mrs. Glen Adams, Mrs. E. O. Moe, and Mrs. Bill Ellison were in charge of the many lovely gifts' received. Mrs. Don Mc-Curdy Mc-Curdy and Nancy McCurdy were in charge of the refreshments. The couple left Saturday morning on a honeymoon trip to California. The bride is a graduate of the Lincoln high school and Sharon seminary, and the groom is a graduate of Provo i ' iff 'I l3i t. I MR. AND MRS, WILLIAM B. GREEN high school and . attended BYU. " Over-Night Fun for Girls The Curtis Gordon home in Orem, was the scene of a gay party Thursdayevening when Cumorah" Gordon was hostess to a group of Vermont ward Gleaner Girls at a combination hamburger fry and watermelon bust. The delicious luncheon was pre pared and served at the outdoor fireplace. After games and dancing the 14 girls stayed overnight. Those taking part in the fun were Elaine Wilson, Lois Guy mon, Helen Swan. Coleen Field ing, Maxine Varley, June Calder, Marjorie Kicherhans, VerJean Edward?, Eileen Lamond. Gloria Washburn, Donna Wagstaff, Glena Johnson, Phyllis Carroll, and Cumorah Gordon. Guests Meet : At Triple-Four Members of the Triple-Four club were guests of Miss Rhoda Doug las rriday afternoon. The horn was pretty with arrangements of roses and other summer blooms Games were played and prizes given to Mrs. May Thomas and Mrs. J. B. Seethaler. Guests bid den were Mrs. Harry McCoard Mrs. Gertrude Page and Mrs; Ward McDonald. Luncheon was served to those named and Mrs. Bert Sutton, Mrs. Cal Cragun, Mrs. John Ellison, Mrs. ' Allie Jones, Mrs. Charles White and Mrs. Ted Hatton. Temple Rites Solemnized It was June temple marriage which made Iona Nielsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Nielsen, the bride of William B. Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam H. Green of Provo. A wed ding breakfast in Salt Lake City followed the marriage. A reception was given at the Federation room in compliment to the newly weds. The decorative decora-tive theme was centered by large flowered heart, tied with aatln to represent a wedding gift. For the reception the bride chose an egg shell satin gown and carried pink roses and white glads. She was attended by Mrs. Bill Anderson at matron of honor and Glenna Christensen, Nancy Taylor and Martie Green as bridesmaids. The bride s attendants attend-ants wore pastel frocks with contrasting flowers. The mother of the bride chose a blue formal and Mrs. Green wore a melon colored ensemble. Dick Johnson attended as best man.. Brothers of the bride officiated as ushers. The serving table featured a large cake. Presiding were Mari lyn Dunford, Joyce Reid and Adene Houtz. . Sisters of the couple received and displayed the gifts. String music added to the wedding atmosphere. other recent parties and show ers have honored the couple. After a honeymoon at Fish Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Green will be at home at 160 W. 3rd S. In Provo. - , Nuptials For Payson Pair PAYSON Miss Beth Harmer. daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Floyd Harmer, was honored at a bridal shower Thursday with Mrs. WI1-mer WI1-mer Hill and Mrs. Owen Love less acting as co-hostesses. Charmingly arranged, the affair af-fair was given at the Hill home, where the guests were entertained entertain-ed on the lawns. Needlework and social chat occupied the time previous pre-vious to the opening of gifts for kitchen use (and towels)' by the bride-elect and her friend, Miss Carolyn Davis. Bidden were 24 intimate friends of Miss Harmer and her mother. Assisting the hostesses in serving serv-ing were their daughters, Miss Rae Ann Hill and Miss Mabel Loveless. Artiste Marry At Gallery By EVELYN M. BOYER Springville Correspondent SPRING VILLE. The Spring- vllle Art building provided the setting for the wedding ceremony of two prominent Utah artists, Florence Frandsen, , daughter of Mrs. Alice Frandsen of this city, and Howard Edward Neslen, son of Mrs. Ur F. Neslen of Salt Lake City. The ceremony was performed per-formed Wednesday at 11 a.m. by Bishop John Y. Bearnson of the Fifth ward. t The bride, whose paintings have been exhibited in the gallery gal-lery many times, was herself a picture In dainty white dress and accessories. An array of summer sum-mer flowers enhanced the beauty of the setting. She was attended by her niece, Miss Carol Leich-ty, Leich-ty, while Francis Neslen, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. After the ceremony, the couple were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frandsen for their j wedding breakfast. After a two week's wedding trip which will be a painting tour of southern parts of Utah, they will make their home in Salt Lake City.- The bride is a graduate of the Brigham Young university and has attended various art school on the coast and at the University Univer-sity of Utah. Mr. Neslen received his master's degree from the U. of U. and subsequently engaged in various art work and stage designing de-signing in California. He served during the war ai an artist for the government, designing and painting war posters. Both have been employed in the art department of the Granite Gran-ite high school the past few years. , Human hair is in demand in manufacturing centers again. Hair nets are becoming increasingly popular and hats made of human hair vere displayed in New York at the Fashion Fair. SPRINGVILLE About 50 Springville people went to Pay-son Pay-son Thursday night to attend the wedding reception of Beth Harmer, Har-mer, daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Floyd Harmer of Payson, who became be-came the bride of Ralph Allen Davis in temple rites. The new Mrs. Davis is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hansen and also Mrs. May Bird all of Springville. Handwork Displayed Members of KCQ club met at the home of Mrs. Mary Croft .Friday .Fri-day where luncheon and a ' display dis-play of handwork done by members mem-bers were featured.
