So authentic is the replica reported to be ,'that it is extremely difficult to detect the difference be- tween the shots made of the model and those made of the I I When it was decided to con-I con-I struct this , costly and unusual i model set, a crew of artists and cameramen was dispatched to ? Paris to study the big arch and bring back drawings and photo-j photo-j graphs which revealed even the .most intimate detail of its lntrl-! lntrl-! cate decorations and friezes. Not only was the arch itself carefully reproduced in miniature, but the (adjacent landscape, including j buildings, trees and other bits of I the local scene, were faithfully re-i re-i produced.
