Between 700 and 800 delegates are; expected to attend, according to Dta Wallace A. Goates, pro-lessor pro-lessor of speech at the University of Utah and chairman of the central "committee. Attending the convention will be delegates from the Speech Association of America,. Western Speech association, American Educational Ed-ucational Speech association, American Speech Correction association as-sociation and the National University Uni-versity Extension association. That paragraph 1 of that Ordinance - passed by the Board of Commissioners of Provo City Utah, on June 1, 1946, and pub lished on June 2, 1946, is hereby amended as follows: The boundaries of Residential District 2 (R-2) are hereby de creased so as to exclude there from the following described parcel par-cel of land, to-wit: Commencing at the Northeast corner of Provo City Cemetery; thence Northwest along the West right-of-way lane of U. S. High way Bl to Fifth South street; thence West 200 feet; thence Southeast parallel -to said high way 91 to the North line of Provo City Cemetery; thence East to the point of beginning. The boundaries of Commercial District 1 (C-l) are hereby in creased to include the land last above described, and said land is hereby subject to such regulations regu-lations as heretofore established for Commercial District 1 (C-l). 2. That paragraph 2 of the last mentioned Ordinance is here by amended as follows: The area and boundary of Res idential District 3 (R-3) is hereby decreased so as to exclude there from the following described parcels par-cels of land, to-wit: (a) Lots 6 and 7 in Block 29 Plat B. (b) Lots 7 and 8 in Block 90, Plat A. (c) Lots 6 and 7 in Block 29, Plat B are located at the South west corner of First East Street and Second North Street. (d) Lots 7 and 8 Block 90, Plat A are located at the South west corner of First West Street and Third North Street. The boundaries of Commercial District 2 (C-2) are hereby ex tended to include the above par eels of land and said parcels of land may be used for such pur' poses as are permitted in Commercial Com-mercial District 2 (C-2). That in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it i6 necessary for the immediate preservation pres-ervation of the peace, health, and safety of the City of Provo City, Utah, and its inhabitants that this Ordinance take effect upon its passage and publication.
