Park, and Richard Nimer, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Nimer, who exchanged ex-changed vows in Logan temple, Thursday. Going to Logan with the couple were Mrs. Park, Mrs. Nimer and Mrs. Lula Burr, grandmother of the bride. The group enjoyed a wedding dinner after the ceremony. Friday evening a reception at Provo First ward hon ored the new Mr. and Mrs. Nimer. Gowned in ivory satin, entrain, the'bride completed her ensemble ensem-ble with a flowing veil held with a bride's crown of orange blossoms blos-soms and a dainty bridal bouquet. She was attended by her sister Mrs. Lawrence Melugin, of Salt Lake City, who wore a smart aqua-blue formal dress. Helen Park, another sister, was maid-of maid-of -honor and bridesmaids were Paula Mae Lotz, Betty Nimer and Dorothy Farnworth, who wore pretty summer frocks in pastel hades and carried nosegays. Mothers of the voune counle greeted the many guests. Mrs. Park chose a blue dinner dress with gardenia corsage and Mrs. Nimer wore a sown of soft ifrav with contrasting flowers. The groom was attended by nis broth er. .tiaroia Miner, kittle carol Ann and Stephen Meluain were trainbearers. Stephen wore a tinjr tuxedo and Carol Ann a while satin formal. Guests were served from a table centered with a laree wed ding cake, surrounded with tap ers and flowers. Mrs. M. A. Eichenberger, Mrs. Virgil Bullock and Mrs. Ada Skinner took charge of the display dis-play of the many beautiful gifts. After a honeymoon in Denver, Colo, the newlyweds will return to Provo to make their home, while Mr. Nimer continues his studies at Brigham Young university. Church Group Discusses Peace OREM The women's auxil iary of the Provo Eible church met at the home of Mrs. Lulu Clark of 740 North .Yaie avenue. Provo. The business of the meet ing was conducted by President Mrs. Ann Williams. Devotion was led bv Mrs. Anna Fowler, her topic being "Peace and Service of True Christians." The missionary talk. "T h e Strange Story -in the Orient," was given by Mrs. Mary Brown. Mrs- Ann Williams won the Drize when the table game was played. Stardust News Dots Summer Calendar Popular Pair To he Wed Mr. and Mrs. Ole Christiansen of this city, announce the en gagement and approaching mar riage of their daughter, Eloise, to Robert Craig Clark, son of Dr. and Mrs. Stanley M. Clark also of this city. The bride - elect is the former student of Brigham Young University Uni-versity where she was affiliated with the Val Norn Social Unit. August 22nd has been selected as the wedding date The couple will leave during the early part of September for Philadelphia where Mr. Clark is attending school. Maiden Joins Bridal Parade SPANISrI FORK Joining a long parade of August brides will be Miss Electa Lasson, attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lasson of Birdseye. News of her betrothal to Roy J. Brown, son of Mrs. Clyde J. Brown of Boise, Ida., was announced recently in the beautiful Crown room in Salt Lake City. The young couple set Aug. 22 as their wedding day. They will pledge vows in a sundown ceremony cere-mony in the Spanish Fork Fifth ward chapel, and a reception will follow for their many friends. The future bride has chosen her sister, Mrs. Edith Dame. Fillmore, Fill-more, as matron of honor. Duane Brown, Boise, Ida., brother of the broom-to-be, will perform duties of best man. After a short honeymoon trip, the couple plans to live in Salt Lake, where both have been employed em-ployed during the past year. Miss Lasson is a graduate of Spanish Fork high school and seminary. New Club Gives Birthday Party A new club, the Neighborhood Birthday club (NBC), had their first meeting this week at the home of Mrs. Bessie Calderwood on the occasion of her birthday. Lovely gifts were presented to the guest of honor. Games were plaved and prizes given, after which a delkious luncheon was served to Mrs. Olive Hunt, Mrs. Electa Parker, Mrs. Dorothy Durrant, Mrs. Gurnee Anderson, Mrs. Carol Adamson, Mrs. Agnes Duke. Mrs. Christie Durrant, Mrs. Lillian Campbell, Mrs. Jeanette Hunt and Mrs. Beth Calderwood. Whist Played At Club Party Mrs. Andrew Terry was hostess to the Elm Wan Adi club at her home Friday evening. Camp Manavu Plans Breakfast In Canyon Members of Camp Manavu, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, will honor their queen, Mrs. Dwight Billings, at an outdoor breakfast in Provo canyon, Tuesday morning. morn-ing. Miss Clark is affiliated with social so-cial groups there and will graduate grad-uate in the Spring. Mr. Knudsen attended BYU before entering the army. He served over five years in both theaters of operation. Sewing and luncheon were the diversions. Honeymoon For Couple Now enjoying a honeymoon In the Pacific northwest are Mr and Mrs Lawrence D. Colledge, who were married this week in Logan LDS temple and who will return to make a home in Springville. The charming bride Is the former for-mer Marcia Wadley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Wadley. Mr. Colledge is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Colledge of Lehi President EIRay Christensen performed the nuptial rites at Logan temple. Going to Logan ' with the couple were Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Colledge, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Wells. A wedding dinner followed the marriage, after which the couple left for their wedding trip. Marcia graduated from the seminary and high school at Pleasant Grove. The groom is a graduate of Lehi seminary and high school, and served during the war with U. S. navy. V Couple Wed In Seattle SPRINGVILLE Mr. and Mrs. LaCelle Sumsion are announcing; the marriage of their daughter. Miss Betty Rae Sumsion, to Raymond Ray-mond Kohkonen, son of Mrs. Henry Kohkonen of Price. The double ring ceremony was solemnized , July 19, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orin C. Bain of Seattle, Wash; Immediately after the marriage, the couple were honored with a wedding reception at the Bab) home. The bride is a graduate of th Springville high school and business busi-ness college, Salt Lake City.. Tha bridegroom graduated from, the Carbon high school and after three years in the armed forces, also enrolled in business college. Prior to the bride leaving for Seattle, she was honored with two pre-nuptial parties. One was given by Mrs. Wanda Empey at Salt Lake City and the other by her mother in Springville.
