Show Centennial Summer Greeted With Glad Sound of Wedding Bells Sunday, June 15, 1947 Singleton-Anderson Wedding Reception, June Highlight A highlight of the June nuptial functions was the wedding reception givens Thursday evening at Provo First ward for Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. The yoke was of sheer net with high neckline trimmed with lace. The flowing veil was ap-pliqued ap-pliqued with lace floral motifs and held with a dainty bride's cap, the costume being accentuated with a bouquet of red roses, centered with an orchid, tied with a shower of white satin. , The 'lovely bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lenn Singleton, was attended by her sister, Donna, as maid-of-honor. Donna wore a filmy white frock with puffed sleeves ana a dainty net nat. a dainty net bat. carrying pretty nosegay. In similar dresses or pastel shades were Louise Sward, Veloy Singleton and Ariene Dyer. Guests were greeted by parents of the young coupie. Airs. Anaerson wearing a smart gray gown with peach gladiolus and - Mrs. Singleton choosing a shell pink formal with bead embroidery,' Her corsage was of ivory gladiolus. Rites Planned For Late June SPANISH FORK The mar riage of Miss Lois Jones to Ray G. The bride-to-be is a member of the Lawrence and Beta Thalian clubs in Spanish Fork. Mr. Ded rickson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Dedrickson of Spanish Fork, served in the army nearly tour years. A reception honoring the couple cou-ple will be given June 24 in Spanish Fork First ward chapel Installation Dinner Held The installation dinner for Lady Lions was held Thursday evening at the Federation Room witn nusbands of members as guests. Mrs. Johnny Cobb, outgoing president, was presented with a lovely corsage in appreciation of services. She acted as mistress of ceremonies and was chairman of the event, introducing her com mittee members as Mrs Lee Tut tie, Mrs. Vern Bullock, Mrs. Wil liam Roderique, Mrs. Claude Holmes, Mrs. Don Fatherircgham, Mrs. Thomas Gessford, Mrs. L. Mrs. Alta Walker led the guests in community singing, after which tribute was paid Mrs. Vance by co-workers of various organizations: Mrs. Edith A. Monson, Mrs. Mary A. Bennett, Ben-nett, Mrs. Florence Billings and Mrs. McNone Perry. A profusion of flowers decorated decor-ated the entertaining rooms, with pink and blue predominating as a color scheme. The serving table was attrac tive hand-made lace cover over pink, centered with an arrange ment of pink roses and blue-bells. Pink tapers "burned at either end. SPRINGVILLE Announcement Announce-ment is made of the marriage of Howard Brady, son of Mrs. Clyde Colvin of this city, and Miss Shir ley Coon of Idaho Falls, Ida. The marriage took place at Idaho Ida-ho Falls Friday evening, June 6, and was followed by a reception attended by many relatives and friends. Attending from Springviile were the bridegroom's mother and her two other sons, Marion B. and Elwood Brady, and three children, Beverly, Thera Lou and Elwood. Mr. Brady- is a World War II veteran and also is' a former student stu-dent of the Brigham Young university, uni-versity, Provo. The young couple plan to make their home in Salt Lake City.
