The . study shows that Provo, with a population popula-tion of approximately 24,000 has only 94 hospital beds, while Logan, Lo-gan, with 12,000 people, has 120 and. Cedar City, with about 5,000 population, will have 60 when an addition to the present hospital is completed. The hospitals in all three cities-serve not only the individual in-dividual city itself but adjacent areas and this is particularly true in the case .of the Utah Valley hospital which serves an approximate approxi-mate population of 4,000 in the county. The executive board of the hospital hos-pital also, express faith in the continued growth of Utah county and feels that this will mean added add-ed demands for hospital facilities. A survey of hospital facilities made in Utah in 1944 by the U.
