C M 2c, navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Barker of Springville, was an event of Sept. 13, in Salt Lake City, and in their honor, a largely attended at-tended reception was held Wednesday evening in the Springville First ward hall. The bride wore a wedding dress of white net over satin, and a corsage of gladioli. She was attended by her sister. Mrs. Margaret B. Lunceford, as matron of honor, who was in blue taffeta. Marie Barker, in blue chiffon: and Nelda Averett. in blue taffeta, were bridesmaids, and like the matron of honor, they wore corsages of gladioli. The bride's sister, Dorothy Bates, and Mary Sorenson, a niece, were flower girls, and were f rocked in white chiffon They held dainty bouquets of asters. Dean Barker, gunners mate 2c, was best man. Two-hundred or more guests attended and enjoyed the evening of dancing, program and refreshments. Beautiful Beau-tiful gifts were presented to the newlyweds.
