Show Enchanted Cottage,! Coming To Sceray Bow love score a miracle In the live of two lonely recluses forms the sympathetic theme of "The Enchanted Cottage," RKO Radio's starring vehicle for Dorothy Dor-othy McGuire, Robert Young and Herbert Marshall. .The picture comes to the Scera in Orem, Monday. Mon-day. Tuesday and Wednesday. Miss McGuire portrays a girl in a small New England village whose exceptional plainness has made her something of an outcast, out-cast, while Young -is cast as an army flyer who, crippled and disfigured dis-figured in a bomber crash, has settled in the village to get away from his family's mistaken sympathy. sym-pathy. The two are thrown together, fall in love because of the mutual affliction; and, counseled by a blind pianist who understands their- problems, .are. married. And it is then that the miracle begins, for the two find that, in each other's eyes, they are attractive. The dramatic results of this discovery dis-covery bring about the stirring climax of the offering. Marshall's role of the blind pianist contrasts effectively with the characterizations of the two stars. Mildred Natwlck, Spring Byington, Hillary Brooke have the principal suporting roles. 'BlondTever' Is Playing Strand When a man old enough to know all the answers meets a girl young enough to make him pop the question, he's got "Blonde Fever" which is the apt title of the very apt little M-G-M attraction at-traction now playing at the Strand theater. In it Philip Dorn plays the suave, sophisticated and forty ish proprietor of a swank restaurant whose heart begins to play him tricks when a very naive but very blonde and beautiful waitress, wait-ress, in the person of the charming charm-ing young newcomer Gloria Grahamc, becomes infatuated with him. i Mary Astor plays DornV . ... , . . , . shrewd, understanding wife, who ?nc. 01 ine xunniesi, apwwMi, en- I t 'Ii " l - r" ' - Ir " " fa I ' 1 1 Enchanting s c e n e -. : -. : If: .from "Naughty 3 t If J . Dorothy Lamcur and the Latin American sensation Arturo de Cordova, have the top roles. J. Carrol Naish plays the; father of Benny, , who, by the way, never appears in the picture. Young Fernando plays Dorothy Lamour's brother. The picture Is heralded as 'one of the most unusual turned out by Hollywood in a long while. It tells of the effects on a small town and the tangled lives of its inhabitants when one of ife humblest sons is awarded a congressional medal of honor posthumously. The town might be any central California community with a population of about 5000, half of which -is com posed of paisanos, or Mexican Americans. When a couple of misses who like their 'kisses meet a pair of GIs with roving eyes, you'll see a million dollar romance for only "Ten Cents a Dance," in the Columbia Co-lumbia picture also appearing currently at the Uinta. Featured stars are Jane F razee, Jimmy Lloyd, Robert Scott and Jean Woodbury. These gals knew all the answers . . . but these guys had a thirty-six hour pass to think up some new questions. And as they do, you see dancin' and romanicin' on a very-merry-go-round of thrills, excitement and five hit songs. PAGE 10 m n?
