Entries into the other divisions will be unlimited as to number and all senior high schools in the state are eligible to compete if they have legitimate transportation. transporta-tion. Class A schools over 500 and Class B schools are those with under 500 enrollment. The usual -awards will be made and the traditional banquet held. There will be no forensics in this year's tournament. Worker Suffers Crushed Leg MAPLETON Merrill Brinker-hoff Brinker-hoff of Mapleton, employed at the Union Pacific shops in Provo, suffered a crushed leg and severe injury to the muscles in an accident acci-dent at the railroad shops the past week. He was given treatment at a Provo hospital and is reported recovering re-covering at his home in Mapleton. No Dairy Payments Accepted 'Til April No dairy feed payments for the months of January, February and March. 1945. will be accepted at the AAA office until April,-according to G. Frank Nelson, chairman. v Mr. Nelson today requested that no farmer come or send to the office, any applications for these three months. Booth, district governor of Ki wanis International, made official visits to Kiwanis clubs of South' western Idaho recently where he visited Kiwanis clubs at Boise, Emmett, Nampa. Caldwell, Weiser and Payette. At the Boise club he inducted as a new member, George Snell, a grandson of Bishop George Snell, the first bishop of Spanish Fork. Mr. Booth had also the honor of dec orating the grave of Lester Alberts Al-berts a close friend of Governor Booth and formerly Idaho State adjutant of the American Legion. This took place at Boise where Mr. Alberts is buried. Governor Booth also extended greetings to the Idaho state senate. sen-ate. Canol Oil To Be Written Off WASHINGTON, March 9 (U.R) Most of the army's $134,000,000 Canol oil project in Canada will be written off the books by June 30. Abandonment of the project, subject. of controversy between the army and the senate's war in vestigating committee for more than two years, was announced last night by the war department. It had been in operation less than a year. Only the-p'roducts pipeline from Skagway to Whitehorse and Fairbanks, Fair-banks, Alaska, will be retained by the army after the June shut down date. Petroleum production at Norman wells will be halted, and operations will cease at the refinery at Whitehorse and on tne wells to Whitehorse. S. soldiers will get furloughs fur-loughs at home before being sent to the Pacific, according to Lt Gen. Brehon Somervell, chief of the army service forces. Speaking by radio on the third anniversary of the army service forces, Somervell said other soldiers in Europe will be sent direct to the orient. Verne Donald Mudge, com mander of the First Cavalry divi sion, was "out of danger." He was wounded by a Japanese grenade Feb. 28. Michigan drillers struck oil in 246 wells during 1944.
