E Robinson, 63, of 2807 Van Buren avenue, who died in Oakland, Cal., Wednesday, will be. conducted Monday noon in Lindquist and Sons funeral chapel by Vern L. Stromberg, bishop of Ogden Twenty-third LDS ward, Burial will be in American Fork cemetery, where graveside serv ices will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Dr. Robinson was born January 20, 1879, in American Fork, a son of George H. and Margaret Chrys-tal Chrys-tal Robinson. He became a student stu-dent in the Brigham Young. unN versity , at Provo when 17 years of age, and taught school in the Emery stake academy and Uintah academy after graduation. He later attended St. Louis university medical school for three years. and graduated from Jefferson medical college in 1906. He in terned at the Dr. W. H. Groves LDS hospital in Salt Lake City, and began practice in American Fork. He came to Ogden in 1916, where lie had practiced until he became ill a year ago. He married Lulu Trane in the Salt Lake LDS temple in 1907. She died in 1940 Surviving are four brothers and sisters: Dr. A. A. Robinson of Ogden, Reed Robinson of American Ameri-can Fork, Mrs. Laura Evans and Mrs. Adella Zimmerman of Lehi. Mary N. Olsen Funeral services for Mrs. Mary N. Olsen was held in the Second ward chapel Wednesday afternoon with Bishop J. Earl Lewis presiding. pre-siding. Mrs. Lucile Menlove was at the organ for all numbers and the Singing Mothers led by Mrs. Ella R. Stubbs sang three numbers. Phyllis Smart Olsen rendered a violin solo, and Mrs. Bernice Das-trup Das-trup sang a solo, accompanied by Mrs. Zenith Johnson. The speakers were Bishop Wil liam D. Norman. Pres. Herald R. Clark and Bishop Lewis, and a tribute was read by Mrs. Emma G. Jones. The invocation was given giv-en by Brigham Johnson, the benediction bene-diction by C. Sat-urday. , U.S. Cargo Ship Announced Lost WASHINGTON, Dec 12 UJE) The navy announced today' the loss of the 6,198 ton naval auxiliary cargo ship Alchiba, in the Solo mons. Only three mtn of the crew are missing. At the same time the navy communique com-munique told how an army Flying Fortress on a reconnaissance flight over New Georgia island in the Solomons was attacked by 15 Japanese Zeros and- returned to its base after shooting down five of the attackers. The Alchiba was the 27th American naval vessel to be lost in the Solomons campaign. Jap anese losses so far are 52 sunk. Backman, execotive vice chairman of the organization. BODY FOUND IN COLUMBIA RIVER PORTLAND Ore., Dec. 12 (U.R) The body of Oscar R. Peterson. 62, Jerome, Ida., an employe of the Oregon shipbuilding Corp. was found today in the Columbia river. The body apparently had been in the water two weeks. There were no signs of foul play. He was in Rome at the outbreak of the war with Italy. Payson Briefs Willard Stott son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L." Stott of Payson has arrived home from the Olympia air port in Washington to visit for a few days. He entered the army Air Corps, December 29, 1941, and took his first training at Sheppard Field, Wichita Falls, Texas. He then went to the Portland Port-land air base and several other places in the north west. Captain Ned McBeth has arrived ar-rived home on a short furlough from Oregon to visit his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Phelps and his many Payson friends. Captain McBeth Mc-Beth was commanding officer of Headquarters Battery, 65th Field Artillery when they left Payson with other units of the Utah National Na-tional Guard for California.
