Delightful Party At Roylances Miss Ann Roylance entertained at a gay Hallowe'en fete Friday evening at her home. Spooks, devils and dancing skeletons created a terrifying atmosphere at-mosphere but delighted the guests. Hallowe'en games were played, while spooks and spirits kept visiting vis-iting the scene. Later, weiners were roasted in the fireplace and a delicious lunch was served. Those present were Geraldine Tucker, Venice Hoover, Venalee Jacobsen, Yvonne Nelson, Bonnie Ray Hudson, Masters Gerry Scott, Cecol Robertson, Lyle Robertson, Rob-ertson, Gerry Walker and the hostess. Afternoon Of , Bridge Enjoyed An enjoyable party for Triple Four Bridge club members was given by Mrs. J. B. Seethaler at her home Friday afternoon. Mrs. A. M. . Knudsen, Mrs. A. M. Ul Women for their partners Friday evening at the Joseph Smith building, the eVent being carried out in the form of an annual convention of the- stockholdcra- of the Interna- tipnal Rat and Cat Ranch, Incorporated. Incor-porated. "Board members" were elected and introduced, by the president of the board, Dr. Eldon Beck, and' asked to display their talents, tal-ents, with clever play on the words "cat"' and "rat," such as "the transactions being "ratified" by the group. The "stockholders" were ushered usher-ed into a darkened room, on arrival, ar-rival, where a weird cat "tale" was being told from an amplifier in and adjoining room, giving a spooky effect. The following numbers num-bers were included, with appropriate appro-priate introductions: Prof. LeRoy J. Robertson, listed as an authority on cat gut, played a violin solo, accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Britsch. Amy Cox also played a piano solo, then, letting a few shares of stock "go for a song," the faculty trio, composed of Ariel Ballif, Elmo Coffman and Ralph Britsch, sang, "The Oat Came Back." Following adjournment of the convention, refreshments were served in the adjoining room-Appropriate room-Appropriate Hallowe'en decorations, decora-tions, rat traps, cat cages, etc., were placed about the room. The committee comprised Dr. and Mrs. Eldon Beck and Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Tuttle, co-chairmen, assisted by Mrs. Irene Barlow, Miss Irene Osmond and Miss Vijla Birrell. Mrs. Dastrup Is Hostess Mrs. Doyle Dastrup entertained members of her bridge club Friday Fri-day evening at her home, a Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en motif predominating in the clever apopintments. A well arranged luncheon was served. High score prize for bridge went to Mrs. Dastrup, Mrs. James C. Allen took second hon ors, and Mrs. Frank Larsen, the traveling award. Baked Tomatoes and Cheese (serves 6) One No. 2 can tomatoes, teaspoon tea-spoon salt, 1-8 teaspoon pepper, 1 tablespoon chopped onion, 1 cup bread crumbs, V cup grated cheese. Mix together tomatoes, salt, pepper and onion. Place of tomatoes in buttered baking dish; cover with of bread crumbs, then cheese. Repeat, using remaining- ingredients. Dot with butter; bake at 350 degrees F. about 30 minutes. I' Utah Open House After Game A smart event of Saturday was the open house given by Miss Charlotte Henriod, student at the U. S. A. C. in Logan, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Henriod of this city. The informal party, in he form of a buffet lunch, was held after the U. 3. A. C.-B. Y. U. football game, and was given for members -oi; Ajpna uu omega, and several A- C, students and football players. Clever appointments marked the table aecorations, consisting of a white leather football, as the centerpiece, and miniature goal posts in blue and white, at either end. Guests were blindfolded and ushered into the basement, which was effectively transformed into a "den of horrors." Pranks and games were enjoyed and a delicious delici-ous buffet lunch was served. The selected theme was carried out in the entertainment, decorations dec-orations and dr-licious luncheon served. Mrs. Floyd Hitchcock assisted as-sisted her daughter. A highlight of the evening was the telling of ghost stories, as the girls gathered around the open fireplace. The bridal party consisted of the parents of the couple; the bride and groom, Mrs. Lawrence Simmons, sister of the bride, matron of honor; Miss Mary Crowther of Richfield, Idaho; Miss Brocaw of Lehi, cousins of the bride and Miss Elaine Dedrickson, bridesmaids. Kenneth Taylor acted act-ed as best man. The bride chose as her wedding gown the traditional white satin en train. Her bridal veil was of bride's illusian, with coronet of seed pearls. . She wore a corsage of pink and white rose buds. Moving pictures of the bridal party were made by Harmon Hatch, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, bride-groom, after which a short program pro-gram was given under the direction direc-tion of George Larsen, wno acted as master of ceremonies. The latter lat-ter part of the evening was spent in dancing. J Mrs. Ivan Stewart and Mrs. Dean York were in charge of the trousseau and gift rooms. R. Lee and Janeal, nieces of the bride received the many beautiful gifts. Refreshments were served at small tables centered with pink and white sweet peas, which carried car-ried out the color motif of the beautiful wedding cake made and decorated by the bride's mother.
