Sewing Machines Badly Needed at Red Cross Center Anyone having a sewing machine ma-chine for which they have no further use. would be doing a great act of patriotism by giving it to the local Red Cross for the work room. Anyone having hav-ing such a gift may contact Mrs. Miller and she will arrange for delivery. Also, the ried Cross needs many small tin boxes, typewriter ribbon rib-bon boxes or similar, to be filled with matches for the kit bags being made for all the service men. There is a call out for safety safe-ty pins, buttons, buckles and needles suitable for heavy thread, these, too, to be tucked into the kit bags. Pocket editions of good books are also acceptable at this time, also for the bags. A great many articles of civilian clothing are being made at the Red Cross work room for use in the future through emergency necessity ne-cessity or to be sent to other countries coun-tries during the rehabilitation period after the war.
