Carter, Friday Fri-day .evening: at the home of her parents, Mr. 'and' Mrs. Charles S. 'Jones. , The bride's bouquet was of white carnations and pink rosebuds, rose-buds, tied with 'a large white ' satin bow, with trailing: streamers. - The pink and white colors followed . through in the room decorations, which consisted of carnations and pink rosebuds. ;Mr. Carter is a son of Mrs. - Ida, Taylor of Grand View. Bishop J. Earl Lewis of the Second Sec-ond ward married the young couple, in the presence of 30 relatives , and close friends. Miss Nola Christensen was at the organ, or-gan, to play the wedding march, and the bride was given in marriage mar-riage by her father. After the ceremony. Instrumental Instrumen-tal music was enjoyed, also, selections selec-tions by Miss Christensen. Mrs. Alvin Perry gave a toast to the . bride. A tray luncheon was served to the guests. The cerimony was performed by Bishop Wesley P. Ljoydin the presence of the immediate families and close friends, and was followed by a buffet supper. ... The table was beautiful wltha ace cloth "and the 'centerpiece 'center-piece was a wedding cake featuring an ornament of orange . blossoms, wedding bells and a statue of hapiness. This decoration decora-tion was used on the bride's parents' wedding cake. The bride wore a spring suit of black wool and a corsage of gardenias and camillias. She was unattended. Miss Kay is the daughter of the late Ephriam and Emma Openshaw Kay and Mr. Stewart is the son of the late, Andrew J. Stewart and Eliza S. Stewart. The. bride, popular in music circles, attended the University of Utah, Northwestern university and was graduated from the Brigham Young university. The theme, "Woodland Fantasy," Fan-tasy," was cleverly carried out by using pine trees in decorating. Music was furnished by Curt Curtis and his orchestra. During the evening, light refreshments re-freshments were served, and at intermission a program consisted of a vocal solo, "My Hero," sang by Nathelle King, accompanied by Ruth Nelson; a solo ballet from the opera "Kopellia" by Ruth Rice, accompanied by Norma Roberts; a humorous reading by Virginia Riches; a short invitational invita-tional speech to the rushees by Sarah Wolsey, unit president; and a demonstration of the unit waltz by Fay Parrish and Heber Wolsey.
