Show Officers Announced For M . i4. Af University - Officers for the .Young Men's and Young Women's Mutual Improvement Im-provement - Associations which will begin next week at Brigham Young university were announced Friday by Professor J. Wyley Sessions, Ses-sions, director of religious activities. acti-vities. Directing the Y. M. M..I. A. .will be Oliver R, Smith, instructor in journalism as superintendent, with George R. Hill of Salt Lake City and Robert H. Walker of Raymond, Alberta, Canada, as assistants as-sistants and Kent H. McKnight cf Moreland, Idaho, as secretary. Y. W. M. I. A. officers selected are Sarah Knowlton of Holliday, president, pres-ident, .with ZeteUa. Price of Lehl and Betty Marler of Independence, Mo., as counselors and Katherine Miller of Los Angeles, Cal., as secretary. Missionary Home At Spanish Fork SPANISH FORK Elder Jack J. Warner who has recently returned re-turned f rord the Western States mission where he served two years as a missionary.' He was president presi-dent of the San Luis district for five months. Elder Lowell A. Griff its of Clarkston, Utah, accompanied Mr. Warner home and' is visiting here for a short time. Ash Dies At Lindon LINDON George R. Ash, prom inent pioneer, 82, died at his home In Lindon, Thursday afternoon. aner a Drier wness. He was born November 9, 1858, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Richard Ash. His marriage to Elizabeth Cullimore took place in the Logan temple, October 24, 1885. Mr. Ash was active in church and civic affairs, having served as a missionary in England in 1888, and as superintendent of Sunday school for many years. He was a high priest at the time of his death. He was also book keeper for the' Lindon Treshlng machine company, and a member of the North Union Canal board. Surviving are his wife and ten. children: Mrs. James Glllman and Ernest Ash, Lindon; William Ash, Orem! Mrs. Hildine Nlelson, Mrs. William FackrelL Ezra and Elden Ash, all of Salt Lake; Cecil Ash, and Mrs. Norman Peterson. Lehl; and Arnold Ash, Provo; also 38 grandchildren and 21 great grand children; and one sister. Mrs. Wil liam Christiansen of Lindon. Funeral services will be- held Monday, 2 p. m. in the Lindon ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Jesse K. Thorne. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove ceme tery. Friends may call at the family home Sunday evening and Monday till time for the services. Snow Services At Second Ward Funeral services for Arthur Snow were held in the Second ward ' chapel Wednesday afternoon, after-noon, with Bishop J. Earl Lewis in charge. 'j Don Conover and Bishop Lewis were the speakers. N., Halvor Madsen offered the invocation, and the beneditction was pronounced pro-nounced by Brigham Johnson.
