Meacham, sister of the bride, matron - of honor; Mrs. Helen R. Anderson and Mrs. Doris ! A. Sumner, attending matrons, and -the Misses Beth Mendenhall of Salt Lake City, and Beth Bird, bridesmaids. V'Tb.e bride wore a filmy gown of white point des prit, over heavy taffet,.with a Queen Ann fingertip finger-tip veil of bride's Ulusion, falling from a halo of lace and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of pride's lilies and white roses, with . an orchid, tied with a large sheer paw. . ' ' ' Mrs. Meacham was in orchid phtlfon over taffeta, and the attending at-tending matrons and bridesmaids frrere in like -models; sheer white . piouses with full flowered skirts featuring green leaves on a yeUow background. They wore long colored col-ored beads to match their skirts, and pom pom asters in their hair. Their flowers were in the form of lets of white gladioli fled to their wrists, which formed form-ed a continuous chain. Mrs. Meacham Meach-am carried yeUow gladioli. f Mrs. Bown mother of the bride, wore blue crepe, and . Mrs. John-feon, John-feon, mother of the groom, was in cream yellow taffeta. They wore . - jrausman roses. . . . f Flay Meacham greeted the - guests at the . entrance, and assisting as-sisting in receiviner were Earl Jjohnson, uncle bf the groom, also, Stanley Clark, Glade Anderson, Bob Sumner and Ralph Olsen. . Mrs. Stanley M. Clark and Mrs. Leslie A-. Poulgon of Richfield, had charge of . the refreshments. The " table . was covered with - a beautiful liand-crocheted lace cloth made by the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Newell, and was centered with a massive wedding cake. Pink candles burned in handsome brass candelabra. Mrs. June B. Sowards, Mrs. Hazel B. Hayward, Mrs. EHithe F. Cannon of Salt Lake and Miss Ethel Clark poured. pour-ed. The O. S. girls of the B. Y. U., served; also, they sang their bride song during the evening. Music was furnished by a string trio composed of Dearwyn Sund-wall, Sund-wall, . Joie Batchelor and Louise J.. Clark. , The display of elegant gifts was in charge of Mrs. Julia Reiser, Reis-er, Mrs. Wilford Samuelson and Mrs.: Kay Samuelson of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Joe Bown and Mrs. C. W. Love of Provo. They were assisted by Miss Amelia Buckley and Miss Dorothy Janson. Tne bride's lovely trousseau was shown by Miss Mayna Moffitt and Missv Nedra. Lareen. The couple left for Portland, Oregon, by way of San Francisco and up the coast to Seattle, the bride changing to smart three-piece three-piece wool suit in a ginger shade, with matching accessories. She wore orchids. Mr. Johnson will resume his studies at the Northwestern Dental Den-tal college in Portland. A SMART LOOKING GET-UP Home Wedding Quiet Affair The marriage of Miss Ileen Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Cook of Spr.ngville, to Leo McBride, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. McBride of Provo, took place Tuesday evening at the home of the groom's parents. Bishop Terry J. Oldroyd of the Sixth ward performed the ceremony, cere-mony, in the presence of a few close relatives. The young couple left Immediately Immedi-ately for a trip to Fish Lake. They will make their home in Provo. . t The bride attended the U. S. A. C. at Logan, last year.
