Show 4 "x ' V. Bride-Elect Of 'Week SPANISH FORK Mr. and Mrs. J. Angus Olsen announce the engagement and approaching marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Evelyn, to Max W. Chambers, Cham-bers, son of Dr. and Mrs. W. Chambers of Garland, Utah. The ceremony will take place in the Salt Lake temple, Friday, June 20. The bride-to-be is a graduate of the Spanish Fork high school and attended at-tended Che B r i g h a m Young university, the past year, where she was affiliated with the Val Norn social unit. She is also a member of the Laeurance club of Spanish Fork. Mr. Chambers :s a former for-mer student of the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university and was a member of the Viking social unit. He ia now a sergeant at Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif. The young couple will make their home in California. Couple Reveal Marriage Announcement is made by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Adamson of Provo, of the marriage of their daughter, LoRaihe, to R. Wallace Ripple, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ripple of this city, which took place in Heber City, April 25. The young couple are graduates of the Provo high school. Stokes' Wedding In Late June Miss Reva Knight, daughter of Mr. a.nd Mrs. Leo J. Knight of Provo, whose betrothal to Lawrence W. Lynn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville H. Lynn of Lovell, Wyo., ia made known today. June 25, has been set as the wedding' day, the nuptials to be held in the Salt Lake temple. Tuttle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray L. Tuttle of St. Louis, Mo. The nuptials will take place Wednesday Wednes-day In the Salt Lake temple, and the young couple will take a short trip In the state. They plan to leave soon for St. Louis, where they will spend the summer, returning- to Provo in the fall when Mr. Tuttle will resume his studies at the B. Y. IT. Utahn Wed in California City SPANISH FORK An interesting interest-ing wedding took place recently at Alhambra, Calif., in which Spanish Forkers were the principals. prin-cipals. It was the marriage of Miss Adella Faux, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Faux to Earl C. Olsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olsen, also of Spanish Fork. The ceremony- was performed per-formed at the home of the bridegroom's bride-groom's uncle, Orson F. Olsen, by Bishop Medley of the Alhambra Alham-bra ward. Sergeant Trevor Faux, brother of the . bride from San Luis Obispo was best man. After the ceremony, a wedding - dinner was given by Mr. and Mrs. Olsen for twenty relatives and Friends. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olsen and Mrs. F. J. Faux of Spanish Fork went to California to attend the ceremony. The young couple will make their home at Culver City, Calif., where Mr. Olsen is employed employ-ed by the DoUglas Aircraft corporation, cor-poration, ' Wedding Plans Told At Tea At an attractive tea given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Hayes Saturday from 5 to 7 o'clock, the betrothal and approaching ap-proaching marriage of their daughter, daugh-ter, Leith, to Monte Russell Anderson, An-derson, was revealed. Mr. Anderson is a son of Mrs. Martha J. Anderson of Bear Riv-ver Riv-ver City, Utah. The young couple will be married mar-ried Monday, June 16 in the Salt Lake temple, and they plan to live in Provo. Both are graduates grad-uates of the B. Y. U., where the bride-elect was affiliated with Phi Delta Pi, and the White Keys. Mr. Anderson was on the "Y" football foot-ball squad. A color scheme of yellow and white was used in the artistic arrangements, orange blossoms and yellow roses predominating.. Miss Laura Banner and Miss Marjorie Merrill poured, and the dining room was in charge of Mrs. Eleanore Moore Bartholomew Bartholo-mew of Ames, Iowa, a cousin of the bride-elect. The trousseau room was in charge of Miss Maria Hayes, a sister, and another sister, sis-ter, Miss Emma Hayes, arranged the beautiful music for the Afternoon. After-noon. Miss Elaine Brown sang "Love Sends a Little Gift of Roses," and "Indian Love Call," and a trio, composed of Sammie Speakman, Jerry Waddell and Peggy Lee Whiting favored with numbers. Mfrs. Mary Hayes of Thatcher, Ariz., a sister-in-law, sang "Your Eyes Have. Told Me So," and tl Passed by Your Window." Crawford will be the scene of a quiet wedding today noon, when their daughter, Helen, is united in marriage mar-riage to Grant Young of Hawthorne, Nevada, son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Young of Provo. The bride-to-be has been employed at the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph company com-pany for the past year, and a half. Mr. Young attended the B. Y. Williams of the Thirteenth L.D. S. ward of that city. Immediate family members and friends were in attendance attend-ance and a wedding dinner din-ner followed the quiet ceremony. The .bride, was attired in a wane serge costume, with blue accessories, and she wore a corsage of roses and lily-of-the-valley. She is a graduate of the Beaver high school . and is employed at the S. H. Kress store, engaged en-gaged at the information desk. Mr. Gadd was graduated gradu-ated from the Juab high school at Nephi, and attended at-tended the B. Y. U. Mrs. Pearl Olsen, captain, . presided, pre-sided, and the name, Camp Provo, was selected. After the business, a program honored Serge Louis Ballif, the variety numbers being presented by his descendants, as follows: Piano solo, Ariel Ballif, Jr.; piano duet, Algene and Joan Ballif; reading, "Come Come Ye Saints," Mrs. Ariel Ballif; history his-tory of Serge Louis Ballif, read by Mrs. Ruth L. Gillman; cello solo, Mowana Ballif, accompanied by Ariel Ballif Jr.; two vocal solos, Arief Ballif, Sr. Delicious refreshments were . served to 20 members and 10 guests. , .
