The banquet will commence at 7 p. m. Invitations have also been extended to leading stake officials. During the banquet a .spicy program pro-gram will be given and special honor paid the retiring bishopric, T. A. Greenwood, Orval C. Mercer and S. F. Grant. Dancing will follow. The children of the ward will be entertained in the afternoon after-noon at a matinee performance of the motion picture "Rebecca" at the Cameo theater. All up to and including those of 14 years will be included in this group. The ward officers and teachers of the Alpine stake Primary association as-sociation were entertained by the stake officers Wednesday night lollowing the regular union meeting-. -Each ward presented a stunt and games and social mixers were also enjoyed, directed by Mrs. Ida II. Wagstaff. Refreshments were served. Mrs. John H. Miller and Mrs. Thomas Friday . were hostesses Thursday alternoon to the members mem-bers of the Ladies Literary club at. the home of Mrs. Miller. All enjoyed en-joyed a review of the book "How Ctcen Was My Valley" given by Mi.s. MelvmW. cn ant. A delicious lunch was served late in the afternoon. after-noon. - Wednesday-- night a . party of fiicnds of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Miller gathered at their home to honor Mrs. Miller who was celebrating-; her birthday that day. Librarians Plan Book Week Events SPRINGVILLE Book week wiil lie observed in Springville beginning Monday, November 1G. it was announced today, Librarians Librari-ans Louise Rowland and Blanch Beal are in charge of arrangements arrange-ments for the observance. As a special feature of the week. Mrs. Harold Christensen will review toe play, "There Shall Be No Night," by Robert Sherwood, Sher-wood, at the library on Friday, November 15, at 8 p. m. There will be no charge for the review but those desiring to attend must secure se-cure tickets from the librarians. In addition to the book review, special talks will be given in the schools on the value . of good books.
