Delightful In every detail was the Social Twelve dinner and card club party on Monday night at Valley Tavern celebrating the twentieth anniversary , of the organization or-ganization of the group. President Gertrude - Sumsion, who Incidentally Incident-ally was 'president 'when the club was organized, acted as mistress of ceremonies and gave a short . comic sketch of the club history during the dinner which was served at one long table. The club members mem-bers wore formals for the occasion, occa-sion, the charter members wearing those of twenty years ago. The latter were also (resented with lovely corsages during the evening. Contract bridge featured the occasion occa-sion -with prizes for the games being won by Mrs. Gwen Baxter, , Mrs. Emma Rowland and Mrs. Melba Pennington. In attendance were: Mrs. Lois Clegg, Mrs. Gertrude Ger-trude Sumsion, Mrs. Hazel Harrison, Harri-son, Mrs. Ella Crandall, Mrs. Phil-da Phil-da Flnley, Mrs. Melba Pennington, charter members, and Mrs. Esther Johnson, Mrs. Hilda Grant, Mrs. Amasa ' Rowland, Mrs. Manilla Brown, Mrs. Emma Rowland, Mrs Floss Phillips, Mrs. Thelma Clark. "Wilcox of Boulder City, Nev., is visiting in Spring' .vllle with her mother, Mrs. Rhoda Hatfield and sister, Mrs. Bea Glaz ler, Mrs. Wilcox came on account of the recent Illness of her mother. Mrs. Dora Crandall has returned to their home here from Seattle, Wash., where she has spent the winter with a daughter, Mrs. H. B. Embree and family.
