The entertaining rooms were pretty "with decorations of poinsettas, and carnations and a beautiful' Christmas Christ-mas tree. A delicious luncheon was served at 8 o'clock followed toy games of, "Neighbor' and the exchange of Christmas gifts. There were in attendance, Mrs. E. D. Firmage, Mrs. Norma Taylor, Mrs. Bill Firmage. Mrs. Stanley-Heal, llrs. Stanley Peay, MIs3 Retta Johnson, Miss Birdie Anderson, Misa Eleith Fillmore, Miss Mamie Jensen, Misa Jean Larson, MLss Beth Allrecf of Provo, Mrs. Mar-Karet Mar-Karet McKell of Spanish Fork. Miss Melva Miller and the hote&s of this city. Mr. 'Arvil Bird entertained a group of friends and neighbors at one of their regular social gatherings, gather-ings, on Wednesday afternoon, at her home. Sewing and social chat were enjoyed together with a well -arranged luncheon served at small tables. In attendance were the following, Mrs. Julia Dallin, Mrs. Be rtrunv Dallin, Mrs. Reed Dallin, . A lesson on, "Early Christmas in Utah" was given In. an" interesting: manner man-ner by Mrs. Erma Ruff and Mrs. Ellen Crandall also In a pleasing manner, gave "Early Christmas in Spring." Miss Hazel Bray entertained en-tertained witlr a -reading; Shirley Peterson, a Vocal solo;" Shirley Peterson and Darrell Barrett, a trumpet and piano duet; and Catherine Cath-erine Sumsion gave a Christmas j,s&ry: In conclusion Santa Claus appeared under direction of the hostesses and, distributed bags of candy and nuts to the group.
