Among the leading social functions func-tions of the weeli was the smartly appointed 1:30 o'clock luncheon given by Mrs. C O.- Claudin at her home Friday. Luncheon was served buffet style, the table was beautiful, corner decorative arrangement being be-ing a large cornucopia filled with fruits and flowers. Cream tapers were in crystal candlesticks on either side, and a handsome imported im-ported Irish linen cloth and a white and gold service were used. The guests ate at smalU tables, arranged with lovely Maderia linens. Yellow chysanthemums were in baskets and vases throughout the rooms. An afternoon of unusual entertainment en-tertainment was enjoyed. Peggy Epperson KSL artist from Salt Lake City, favored with a group of vocal numbers, beautifully rendered, rend-ered, and with Mrs. C. 6. Jensen Jen-sen as accompanist. Selecting her compositions to mark the different differ-ent phases in a girl's life, Mrs. Epperson sang "School Days," "I Love You Truly," "O Promise Me." "Little Fingertips," and "My Grandmother," the latter being be-ing a composition written by her husband, Emery Epperson. Miss Miriam Taylor, originally from Provo, who has been engaged en-gaged vi nursing in South America Amer-ica for five years, gave a vivid account of her delightfully interesting inter-esting trip around the world.
