The speedy "Y" relay team of Wayne McTague, Lewis, Smith, Alex Bland, and Clyde Boyle set up a new record for the 880-yard 880-yard relay. Highlights of the junior college competition were new records in the century and broad jump by Holt of University of Idaho Southern South-ern Branch, shattering of 5 other records, and noticeable predominance predomin-ance of the orange-clad athletes from U. I. S. B. So far did the reach of the "Y" relays extend this year that athletes from six states were on hand for participation. Ivan Hall, winner of the all-around championships champ-ionships in 1936, who is attending University of Washington at present, pres-ent, was one of the participants in the R. M. C. freshmen competition. com-petition. Director Hart expressed his satisfaction at the success of the meet, and his appreciation for the splendid cooperation he received re-ceived from the general committee commit-tee and officials. Manager John H. Smith did a magnificent job at arranging the stadium for the occasion. A unique feature of the meet was carried out when pennants of the various schools were raised rais-ed above the stadium house as each particular school won an event. At conclusion of the meet more than 80 flags were waving from a wire suspended 15 feet above the building. 300 GIRLS IN DANCE CONTEST i. 1 ! 1 (CoritinOed from Page One) pha Taylor, instructor AA: Ruth Wilson, Helen Starrs, Juanita Roth, Gladys Powell. Mrs. Norton's daughter Gwendoline Gwen-doline is now' 14. She accompanied accompan-ied her mother to Hollywood, where the attempt was made to establish her parentage. Mrs. Norton Nor-ton said she recognized Gable as Frank Billings when she saw the movie star's picture in a cinema magazine. As the trial ended, even Gwendoline Gwen-doline lost faith in her mother's story. Said the girl: "I thought mother was right at first. But after I saw Mr. Gable in person and heard him talk, and heard the other people say he never had been in England, I decided de-cided that mother was wrong. "He seems to be a fine man and I can't help wishing that I did have a papa like him. But I know he isn't." SOUTHALL, England, April 24 (U.K) Harry Billings, 40-year-old city fireman, looked at a picture of Clark Gable today, and said: "That's not my brother, Frank Billings." "I'd stake my life," he said, "that Clark Gable is not Frank Billings.
