With only three regulars missing miss-ing from the 1935 squad, Romney had only one worry replacing All-Conference Floyd Rasmussen, triple-threat quarterback of the 1935 team. Two other all-conference performers, Joe Mabey and Joe Whitesides, also were lost through graduation but replacements replace-ments are ample for their jobs. Fast, Heavy Line Fast and heavy, the Aggie line should be able to push opposing forwards around again this year Captain Bob Bunker and Carl Mulleneaux are expected to hold down the flank positions again. Both are seniors. Romney's tackles, Big Ed Wade, 1935 all-conference selection, and-Larry and-Larry Mathews should be defensive de-fensive bulwarks. Eddie Peterson and Dallas White are back for another season sea-son at the Guard berths and Romney depends on them to clear the way for his ball packers. Peterson Pet-erson was another all-conference performer last season. At center the 1935 duel for starting honors will be continued between Elvan Wayment and Karl Ferrin. Wayment has the advantage advan-tage in size, weighing in at over 200 pounds but Ferrin, 182, is faster. Dallas Greener and Bernard Magnusson appear to be early season favorites to step into Ras-mussen's Ras-mussen's shoes at quarterback. Much of the Aggies' 1936 success-depends success-depends on the ability of one of them to take over Rasmussen's jshoes at quarterback. Ken Ryan, a brilliant all-conference star, heads a cast of 15 veteran backs. Ryan is touted for all-American honors this season. sea-son. Bob Johnson, a big-fast, low-hitting low-hitting back from last year's frosh team, looks as though he could handle the blocking duties in the backfield. Bob Poole and Tracy Maero. another sophomore, are expected to give him plenty of opposition. Elmer Skousen, a reserve fullback full-back last season, is expected to report later. He is recovering from a recent emergency operation. oper-ation. ? NATIONAL LEAGUE u Standing of the Teams W. L. Pot I New York 83 54 606 ' St. Louis 79 58 .577 !
