Rambeau Society Editor Phone 494 Young Couple Honored At Smart Wedding Reception COMPLIMENTARY to their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Murry (Lacy Williams), who were recently re-cently married, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Wiiiiams tendered one of the smartest wedding receptions of the season, Saturday evening at the Women's club house. The hall presented an attractive scene, being brightly illuminated with Christmas, lights and a large and beautifully beautiful-ly trimmed tree, as well as Yuletide candles and a profusion of lovely flowers. ; . The receving line comprised: Mrs. Lacy H. Thompson, grandmother of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Williams, the parents; Mr. and Mrs. George M. Osborne of San Diego, Cal., aunt and uncle of the bride; Dale Schofield, best man; the groom and bride; Mrs. Gladys Madsen, matron of honor; Miss Blanche Lublin, maid of honor; the Misses Floral and Olive Lemon, and Neola Madsen, bridesmaids. The bride wore a stunning gown of royal blue chiffon velvet with gold and blue sapphire accessories, and a beautiful beauti-ful corsage of French rosebuds2 - and pink sweet peas. Mrs. Madsen appeared in pale blue chiffon with pink accessories; Miss Lublin was in green satin with crystal accessories; Miss Floral Lemon wore pale blue organdie or-gandie with crystal accessories; Miss Olive Lemon's frock was of i yellow net witn green accessories ; ana miss Maasen was in pin net with sapphire accessories. They all wore dainty--corsages of pink and yellow sweet peas. Mrs, Williams, mother of the bride, '-appeared in black satin, with trimmings of white, and crystal accessories, - and her corsage cor-sage was of pink and yellow sweet peas. Mrs. Thompson, the grandmother, grand-mother, wore black lace with crystal crys-tal accessories, and a corsage of pink and yellow sweet peas. Mrs. Osborne was in an aqua marine blue creation with black accessories, accessor-ies, and her corsage was also pink and yellow sweet peas. The grand march was led by members of the bridal party, and ended with a waltz. During the evening of dancing, the following delightful program was furnished, with Judge Abe W. Turner as master of ceremonies: Welcome remarks, Judge Turner; piano selection, se-lection, Carrol Williams; toast, "To the Bride and Groom," Mayor A. O. Smoot; vocal solo, Louise Bullock; reading, Leota Robbie; violin solo. Neva Stjrate; dance number, Mary Etta Larsen; reading, read-ing, Maurine Clark; vocal solo, Mrs. Hannah C. Packard. Tasty refreshments were served to the 200 guests, the long serving table being covered with a harfd-"some harfd-"some white Irish linen cloth. A large life-size chocolate turkey formed the centerpiece, and at i either end of the table were red candles and poinsettas. Many beautiful gifts were presented pre-sented to the newly-weds, the gift room being in charge of Miss Eva Madsen. JB .n ...i x; Couple Marry; Leave For Coast Announcement is made by Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Partridge of Orem, of the marriage of their daughter, Mariam, to Max Andrews, And-rews, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Andrews of Provo. The ceremony was performed Wednesday, and the young couple left immediately for southern California, where they will honeymoon honey-moon for three weeks. They will return to Provo to make their home. Both are graduates of the Lincoln Lin-coln high school, and Mr. Andrews is a student at the B. Y. U. The bride was also graduated from the Quish Beauty school in Salt Lake. On the evening of their marriage, mar-riage, Mr. and Mrs. Partridge tendered a social at their home for members of the two families arid a group of intimate friends of the young couple. A well appointed ap-pointed dinner was served, covers being laid for 30, following which a program and games were enjoyed. en-joyed. f 3f Cf Tausigs Hold Christmas Party The B. Y. U. Tausigs and their partners enjoyed a unique dancing party Friday evening at the new firemen's hall in Spanish Fork. The hall was decorated in ex-cuisite ex-cuisite fashion making the surroundings sur-roundings truly Christmas- like. Cider and cookies were 'served and the music was furnished by Francis Rowe's orcehstra. Presents were received by everyone, every-one, which added much to the merriment mer-riment of the party and the enjoyment en-joyment of all. Melvin Kavachevich, Grant Hansen Han-sen and Alva Jensen comprised the committee for arrangements of the party. They were assisted materially by Jim Benton, Ronald, Higgins and Owen Rowe. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dixon were the patrons. )( )fc Literary League Members Hold Party A Christmas party was tendered tender-ed the Literary League members Friday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. Heber Johnson, Mass Rheta Kay being assisting hostess. A delicious buffet luncheon was served, the table being artistic with a centerpiece of blue and white cellophane and candles, with red candle? on the table ends. A massive Christmas tree, bright with tinsel and lights, stood in the living room. Christmas carols and songs were sung, also carolers from the Farrer Junior high school sang Christmas songs outside the house.
