Rambeau Society Editor Phone 494 Fashions - Menus Church, Lodge Functions Modernistic Christmas Theme Featured At Nautilus Formal 3RMAGE hall in American Fork, was the scene of one of the most attractive social functions of the season, Saturday Satur-day night, when the Nautilus sociaf unit of the B. Y. U. held its annual Christmas invitational formal. A modernistic Christmas theme was featured in the lovely and extensive decorations. The foyer was centered with a massive white Christmas tree decorated profusely with blue ornaments and blue lights. The ballroom was lighted with soft blue lights from large white Christmas wreaths hung in the many French windows. Modernistic silver deer, glittered from backgrounds of red velvet were situated at points of vantage around the ballroom. The -centerpiece in the room consisted of a large silver deer bounding over a glistening snow- t1 covered pedestal. From the ceil .ing was suspended a mass of blue and silver balloons upon which were focused four amber spots. The serving room was decorated in conjunction with the theme. .The refreshment table was beautiful beauti-ful and featured two punch bowls which gave orth a soft blue light On either side of the punch bowls was a large blue and silver cellophane cello-phane ornament each containing a tall blue taper. The guests were greeted by members in the receiving line, consisting con-sisting of Ellen Binns, Philip Knight, Anita Smoot, Roy Hammond, Ham-mond, Ruth Dixon, Don Alder, Jean Summers, Myron Bown, Shirley Redd and Edwin Peterson. Patrons for the delightful affair af-fair were Mr. and Mrs. J. Robert Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. Fred VV. Dixon. During the dance favorite Nautilus Nau-tilus songs were sung and the Nautilus waltz was danced by the members of the unit. The committee for the elaborate arrangements consisted of Miss Ruth Dixon, chairman; Carrie Chambers, Jean Summers and Virginia Teerlink. Combination invitations and dance programs, carrying out the theme of the evening, were issued to 125 couples. sje Christmas Party For Jollyette Club Mrs. Izola Lewis entertained at her home Thursday afternoon at a Christmas party for members of the Jollyette Bridge club. Program Camp No. 2, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, met at the home of Mrs. Bertha Strebel Thursday afternoon, after-noon, the entertaining rooms being be-ing bright with Christmas decorations decora-tions and a large tree. After the preliminaries, the following fol-lowing splendid program was enjoyed: en-joyed: Two duets, Mrs. Sarah Ramsey and Mrs. Emma Egilson; life sketch of Elizabeth Board-man, Board-man, by her granddaughter, Helen Boardman; a number of pioneer wedding gifts, relics and dresses were displayed by members, and Mrs. Louisa Carter, Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Boardman and Mrs. Emma Taylor gave sketches of their wedding wed-ding day, gifts, dresses, and their first home and furnishings. An old-fashioned wedding was dramatized, also the shower, trousseau trous-seau and wedding march. Mrs. Vera Nelson was the bride and Mrs. Leona Duke, the groom. Christmas gifts were exchanged, and delicious refreshments were served to 42 women. Assisting hostesses were: Mrs. Hazel Lewis, Mrs. Juanita Stevens and Mrs. Vilate Strong. Birthday Dinner At Johnson Home Mr. and Mrs. August Johnson entertained Friday evening at a dinner at their home in Lake View, in celebration of the birthday anniversary anni-versary of Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Milton Holdaway. Lovely flowers were used to decorate the dining table. H. T. Reynolds of Springville announces the engagement of her daughter Josephine, to John Mac Dougall, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Dougall Dou-gall of this city, the marriage to take place New Year's day, at the home of the bride's mother. Miss Reynolds, a daughter of the late H. T. Reynolds, Sr., is a graduate of the University of Utah, and a member of the Delta Delta Delta and the Alpha Beta Theta sororities. She has recently recent-ly been employed with the Springville Spring-ville Banking company. Mr. Dougall, Dou-gall, a graduate of the Brigham Young university, and the medical medi-cal school of the University of Utah, is also a member of the Pi Beta Phi, national honorary medical medi-cal fraternity. He is attending the Washington university at St Louis1. Mo. Following the marriage, a reception re-ception will be given in honor of the young couple, at the Reynold's home, North Main street. They plan to make their home in St. Louis. Announcement of the forthcoming forthcom-ing marriage was made at a beautifully beau-tifully arranged tea. given by Mrs. H .T. The announcements, presented by little Miss Nana Lee Reynolds, were in the form of miniature silver wedding wed-ding bell. An artistic decorative scheme in silver and white was carried out in the entertaining rooms during the tea, a gorgeous imported banquet cloth covering the dining table which also held a centerpiece of white bride's roses with silver candelebra on either end. In the receiving line were Mrs H. T. Reynolds, Jr., Mrs. Josephine Joseph-ine Reynolds, Mrs. H. T. Reynolds Sr., and Mrs. John W. Dougall Mrs. Miles E. Miller of Salt Lake City, was in charge of the dining room, and was assisted by Miss Aleen McKenzie, Miss Josephine McKenzie, Miss Helen Boyer, Miss Ida Packard, Mrs. J.
