USJilH, ROY A TODAY Lefty Cole, Jackson Probable Pitchers Timps Face Tough Schedule To Finish Second Sec-ond Half Season Ahead of the Field Provo Timps invade Salt Lake City today for two vital games with the Royal Bakers in Industrial In-dustrial league baseball competition. competi-tion. The Provo crew sits none too securely on the top spot, being only one gome ahead of Gemmell first half champs, and one a half games in advance of third place HoLsum Bakers. Ncd Every (iame The local boy a will have to every game remaining on schedule to be assured of and the win the the second half crown and a crack at the Gemmell team, first half champs, for the 1935 league title Gemmell has only two more games ahead of them. After today's to-day's double-header, Provo ball dodgers have three encounters to disturb their sleep, two with the rejuvenated Miners and a playoff contest with Magna-Garfield. Holsum Bakers tangled with Magna-Garfield Saturday afternoon after-noon in an important tilt for the cooks. A defeat in the remaining four games will definiti ly throw the Bakers out of the running for second half honors. A clean slate, on the other hand, would put them in a good position, providing pro-viding Gemmell or the Provo club falter. With Clyde Greenwell still on the sick list, Jackson and Lefty Cole -will occupy the mound in today's twin bill. Greenwell, who went to his home in Ogden last weik to have his tonsils removed, is to report at the Community ball park in Salt Lake today, but will probably not get a call for duty.
