The Play Boys from KDYL will furnish the music and there will be several prizes given away during the evening. The general public is invited. Mr. and Mrs. James T. Blake and daughter, Mary spent Thursday Thurs-day in Salt Lake on business. Mis Beatrice Griffin of Salt Lake is visiting here with her sister Mrs. Joy O. Clegg. The Sunday school superlntend-ency superlntend-ency announces a splendid Mother's Moth-er's day program to be held Sunday Sun-day morning. All mothers of the ward will be honored guests. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Madsen Sr. left Friday for Boulder City, Nevada Ne-vada to spend a few days. Kenneth Wilkinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wilkinson is convalescing at his home following follow-ing an operation for appendicitis performed Tuesday. PROVO MOOSE FORK LODGE If G. W. McLennan was appointed dictator of the Provo lodge of the Loyal Order of Moose, In a meeting meet-ing held Friday evening ot the office of Western Distributors, 48 Ndrth Third west. LeRoy Hardy, Sr., was named vice dictator, Edward W. Bent-ley, Bent-ley, past dictator, P. J. Wipf, treasurer and Dr. J. Karl Beck, lodge physician. Other officers will be appointed by the dictator, and L. Kohlenberg, Kohlen-berg, membership, later. At present 75 preliminary applications ap-plications for memberships in the Provo lidge have been filed. Mr. Kohlenberg is in Salt Lake City perfecting arrangements with the officers of the Salt Lake lodge to have the degree team come to I Provo and exemplifv the initia- tory work and installation of of-! of-! ficers. Pearl Johnson Is Contest Winner PAYSON Miss Pearl Johnson, John-son, daughter or Mr. and Mrs. Guy Johnson, won the annual Wightman declamation . contest held in the Junior high school Thursday night. Her selection was "The Other Cheek." She was awarded a gold medal by Philo C. Wightman, sponsor of the annual an-nual contest. Miss Anna Hughes, head of the speech department was in charge and the other contestants con-testants were: Miss Dorothy Schemp, Miss Eloise VVatkins and Miss Lois Powell. Provo Students Visit Salt Lake Sixth grade students of the Provo city schools, more than 300 in number, left early Friday morning morn-ing on a special Orem train for Salt Lake City, where they visited the principal places of interest. The group was accompanied by the school principals and the class teachers, and visits were made to the capitol building, L. D. S. temple grounds and church buildings, build-ings, KSL, Liberty park, and a large number of the leading industrial in-dustrial plants. II Phone sse-v U L n Scalding Burns Fatal To Infant PAYSON Richard Leone Haskell, Has-kell, 18-months-old, died Saturday morning from burns received when he fell into a tub of hot water which his mother had placed momentarily mom-entarily on the kitchen floor. He was born November 7, 1933 at Payson, the only child of Darwin Dar-win Leone and Nora M. Schwartz Haskell. He is survived by his parents and grandparents, Mr. and. Mrs. Joseph H. Schwartz, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Haskell, and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schwartz. Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed Monday at 2 p. m. in the First ward chapel with Bishop W. A. McClellan in charge. Interment will be in the Payson city cemetery ceme-tery under the direction of the Claudin Funeral home. BONNEVILLE WARD Prof. J. M.
