Rambeau Society Editor Phone 494 Interesting Features For Women; Club And Lodge News Val Hyric Formal Held In Colorful "Vienese Garden" THE annual formal dinner-dance of the Val Hyric Social unit of the B. Y. U. was held at the Pleasant Grove Second ward hall Saturday evening. The hall, for the occasion, was cleverly decorated in accordance with the theme. "A Night in a Vienese Garden." Soft lights played upon fresh flowers, the garden gate, and a bowery. The orchestra played from a flower-covered balcony, bal-cony, which extended out anions the trees. Beautiful corsages cor-sages were presented to the girls, the colors contrasting with the spring flowers in the hall. The favors were unique make-up boxes, done in silver, and nmnogrammed with the unit's letters. LaVerne I'ngricht introduced the toastmaster. Delbert Bean, and welcome remarks wen Toasts were given as follows: "To Joy and Gaiety." Sylvan Stevens; 'To the Ladies," Marshall Huf-faker. Huf-faker. Reception For E. F. Irwins At Church ! Among the pleasing socials of Friday evening, was the informal reception tendered Rev. and Mrs. E. F. Irwin by the Community church and the Sunday school. The affair was held at Meno Trope hall, wiiich was attractively decorated in the national colors. The stage was set with ferns and a large silk American flag, and the serving taDre, which was covered cov-ered with a white linen cloth, with trimmings of red, white and blue streamers, held as its centerpiece, ...... - . - . . . .... . The gay affair was attended by 1 approximately 200 couples, and nearly all woi a costumes repre-j senting the various advertised ! goods. The costumes were typical down to tne last detail and bore j proof of much work on the part ! of the designer. Moving pictures as well as a number of stills were taken of the crowd, the prizewanners and groups.
