His love for the outdoors, ac quired as a youth when he worked as a teamster freighting, through the canyons, attracted, him to the boy scout cause In which he won recognition 'for his . enthusiastic support. He was chairman of the court of honor of the Tirapanogos district council since its organization organiza-tion and in 1932 was honored by the presentation of the silver beaver beav-er award, the first scouter in the district council to be so honored Lover of Outdoors- He was fond of fishing and hunting hunt-ing and many of his leisure hourr were spent haunting the canvor streams with members 04 his family fam-ily and other companions. He took an active part in civic affairs from Che time he became of age in Spanish Fork where he served as a member of the city council. He was an ardent member mem-ber of the Republican party and was much in demand as a campaign cam-paign speaker for .many years. He was one of the charter members mem-bers of the "Provo Klwanis club and in recognition of his work in furthering Kiwanla ideals was presented with' a life membership . Bir. Brimhall was married in 1874 to Alsena E. Wilkina wrno died a low years 0 go. To them were' born the following children: Mrs. Jennie B. Knight. Mrs. Sina, B, Holbrook, George W. Brimhall, Mark H. Brimhall and Wells L. prirahaUv alt of. Provo. A son Milton died many years ago. His second marriage . to Flora Robertson, who survives him, occurred oc-curred in 1885. The children of this marriage who survive are Dean R. Brimhall, and Mrs. Fawn B. McKay, Ogden; Mrs. Fay B. Cummings, Salt Lake, Bums R. Brimhall, Ogden; Paul R. Brimhall, Brim-hall, Palo Alto, California: Mrs. Afton B. Crandall, Provo; Golden H. Brimhall, Ogden. and' Ariel Brimhall, Provo. A daughter, Alta died as a child following an accident. acci-dent. He is aso survived by 40 grand children and 12 great grand children. Brothers and sisters surviving are Ether R. Brimhall; Provo ; Mrs. Phena B. Garf f - and Mrs. Grace Calderwood, Salt Lake.
