Contest must be delivered to the Paramount theater by noon Monday in order to be included amongst those submitted submit-ted to the judging committee, Manager Man-ager J. D. Marpole announced to-' day. Entry, blanks were printed in the Provo Herald of Wednesday, July 20th, but anyone desiring desir-ing a blank now may secure one by calling at the Herald office. , This contest is a part of a national na-tional search sponsored- by the Paramount Publix corporation ' to find a new screen personality to play the part of the Panther Woman Wo-man in H. G. Wells "Island of Lost Souls" which will soon be made by Paramount and which will be one of the most elaborate productions of the season. Three girls will be selected from Provo by a competent committee of judges. These three girls will be sent to Salt Lake City for a two-day two-day holiday with all expenses paid. While there , a screen test will be made of each girl and. sent to Hollywood, Hol-lywood, where it will be judged by a committee of the industry's leading lead-ing directors together with entries submitted from all over the United States. A five week's contract at $200 per week, plus a suite of rooms at the Amabassador Hotel in Los Angeles An-geles paid for by the Paramount Studios, awaits the winner of this national contest. She will also be given an option for five years at a salary ranging up to $600 per week. The course of training which she will be given prior to playing her role in "Island of Lost Souls" should guarantee her a permanent place in the motion picture firmament. firma-ment. A city ordin- Three Utah county women filed suit for divorce in the Fourth district dis-trict court Saturday afternoon with County Clerk FrankSalisbury, two charging failure to provide and the other charging cruelty. Lucinda Barney asked far a divorce di-vorce from Ray Curtis Barney, charging that he beat her In May and July of this year. and charging other acts of cruelty. She asks $35 a month alimony, custody of their two minor children and costs. They were married in Provo in October 1928.
