Other guests . were Mrs. Stanley Wilson, Mrs. Paul Davis, Mrs. Earl Page, Mrs. Dave Shuler, Mrs. Florence Griffith, Grif-fith, Mrs. Ann Butterworth, Mrs. Eugene Hillman, Miss Norma Fairbanks Fair-banks of Salt Lake, Mrs. J. C. Barney, Mrs. Crystal Harper and Mrs. I Roy Barnett. Mrs. Page received the prize for high score and Mrs. Barney was given a guest favor. Mrs. Earl Cole entertained a dozen close friends Monday evening eve-ning at her home. Dinner was served at small tables, gay with lovely summer flowers. Bridge was played during the evening and prizes were won by Mrs. Bert Stevens, Mrs. Melba Buxton and Mrs. Huish Moore. Other guests present were Mrs. L. P. Vickers, Mrs. Page Peery, Mrs. Reid Pers-son, Pers-son, Mrs. Elroy Barnett, Mrs. Clyde Stewart, Mrs. Powell Mo Dowell Mrs. Harvey Smith, Mrs. Ray Stevens and Mrs. Floyd Har-mer. Har-mer. Mrs. Emma Wickizer and Mrs. John Watts entertained a number of their friends at a bridge party Wednesday evening at the home of their brother Cliff Green. Present were Mrs. W. T. Amos, Mrs. Bert Stevens, Mrs. D. P. Morgan, Mrs. E. E. Robinson, Mrs. J. R. Vance. Mrs. Ada Ware, Mrs. S. M. Simpson, Simp-son, Mrs. George F. Wilson, Mrs. Harvey Smith and the hostesses. Mrs. Simpson received the prize. Mrs. T. H. Wilson entertained a number of her former neighbors at a most pleasant social afternoon. Her guests included: Mrs. Sarah Wilson, Mrs. Clara Hardy, Mrs. Emma Wickizer, Mrs. Mary Barney Bar-ney and Mrs. John Watts. Instead of the regular meeting of the Lions club on Monday night, the club members and their ladies participated in a midsummer outing. out-ing. A trip up Payson canyon was abandoned on account of the storm' and instead the group gathered at Arrowhead resort for a weiner roast and picnic supper followed with outdoor sports. A dip in the plunge was an attraction for a number. The affair was arranged in honor of two club members, J. Sterling Reece and W. Albert Mc-Clellan Mc-Clellan who were recently wed. Mr. and Mrs. Jonn Powell and daughter, Mrs. Inez Belnap of Salt Lake and their sons, Lorin Powell of Washington, D. C. and J. S. Powell and wife of Los Angeles spent last Thursday visiting with relatives in Payson. They were dinner eusts,..of Mr. and Mrs Joseph Bingham. The children -of Mr. and Mrs. Powell, former residents resi-dents of Payson are gathered in Salt Lake to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Clara Jean Perkins has been visiting for a fortnight at the home of Richard Doremus in Tooele. In honor of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Francom Mattinson, a recent bride, Mrs. James Francom enter tained at a shower last Thursday afternoon. Sixty-five relatives and friends of the young bride enjoy ed the happy gathering and she re ceived many lovely and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Smith and children and Mr. and Mrs. W. T.
